Thereal I lost my beloved best friend who I'd known since nursery to breast cancer at the age of 34. We had our first children within 3 days of each other. I still miss her. So sorry about your sister Flowers
Zombie my darling, I hope you can feel the love that is out there for you. You are awesome.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 27/01/2017 19:16

A Phalanxial lurker wishing you a peaceful, pain-free journey here, Zombie. I've a candle lit and a large glass of wine. Sleep well Wine

Bagel. I love the giraffe - thank you for posting the picture, I'll take delivery asap. Thank you. Err - you are taking orders aren't you.

Ememem & other newbie blood donors 💐 Eat & drink plenty in the day, it makes donating quicker, easier, less painful & you're less likely to get the woozy feeling after. Most places now have the donating chairs, they're a god send to people like me who are very prone to feeling woozy after. Plenty if biscuits, crisps & drinks after 😬 I'm not at all squeamish, but they're very kind to those that are. IF you tell them you're a little bit nervous, they'll make sure to give you a very experience person to draw the blood. YOUR ARSE. Thought that might get your attention 😁 Squeeze your bum cheeks, hold, relax, repeat. This makes it much quicker to donate and less hurty, I find it uncomfortable & I feel pretty bloody awful after, but it's nothing compared to what someone who needs the blood is going through.

Peppa a friend'S child grew up with Bailey's being put in his bottle pretty much every night as he was a fucking nightmare sleeper bit difficult at night, my friend worked nights and her DH was of the 'it did me no harm' variety, who wouldn't be told. Said child is now a lawyer - it doesn't seem to have hampered him too much! Let alone only getting it via breastmilk 😁

May your journey be painless and your sleep sweet, you brave lady.

On a (rare) night out my parents left me in the care of my paternal granny and couldn't understand why I was always snoring when they returned. (Granny, apparently, expostulated 'I only rubbed a little whisky on her gums to ease them.' I never shopped her - I can remember the eggcupfuls of whisky and the saucers of raisins! Grin)

massiveknickers · 27/01/2017 19:28

Oh and I will be donating blood as soon as possible.

I am fucking TERRIFIED of needles but it's something I have always wanted to do, and I will finally crack on with it because of this thread.

GalenJustGalen · 27/01/2017 19:28

Another thing I love about these threads is that I get to see some of those scary posters from AIBU over here being all smooshy and beautiful.

SloanyAnne · 27/01/2017 19:35

Oi. Who are you calling beautiful?
Tosser.

BathshebaDarkstone · 27/01/2017 19:37

I take it that this thread also doubles as the Friday night drunk thread?

I'm still observing dry January in theory but I'm not sure if I'll make it. DH has a cold and has made a hot toddy because it's medicinal. Hmm If he can cheat then so can I, methinks...

Still thinking about Zombie a lot.

Update from fb

Just returned from visiting Candy who is now very poorly and weak. However, as we would expect, her smile is still undiminished. A large pile of cards arrived, which we opened, and I read to her. There was also a serendipitous arrival of Bailey the Travelling Bear, who arrived from Australia, complete with Australian wild life stickers. Bailey has now taken up a watchful position at Candy's side. The hospice staff are all very caring and Candy is being well looked after.
Much love, Candy, sleep well. Xxx

❤️
