I remember Zombie driving through the night to help a desperate woman (who it later transpired was a banned poster, but it showed Zombie's generous nature. Everyone was going nuts that she hadn't updated (as she was driving, obviously), there was talk of her being abducted and allsorts with people talking about ringing the police... I'd come across Zombie before and enjoyed her posts, but that one really stood out for me. And reading how she dealt with her illnesses, her courage and determination not to let it grind her down - well, I am in awe. A wonderful lady you are indeed, Zombie. Hope your ZombieLad and Lass are with you and you are feeling peaceful and loved.

Another delurker here. Zombies threads were the first things I ever read on mumsnet. She drew me in from the start.
I shall be raising a glass (or 6) and turning the music up loud tonight for Zombie tonight.

I remember Zombie's drive through the night too! I remember being in total awe that someone could be so selfless and lovely for a complete stranger. Zombie has stuck in my mind as one of MN's greatest ever since
