HRT should prevent the dryness though badders I think? I'm kind of on the opposite of HRT, which is my concern. Although with my family history I suspect HRT would be advised against anyhow.

Well, I spent most of the morning packing two items I've sold on eBay, one for DS which was a bit of a nightmare and one for me. I'm NEVER going to sell anything ceramic again. It was a set of 3 with lids, each weighing nearly a kilo, and it took me an age finding an appropriate box, bubblewrap and stuff to cushion it all. Anyway, it's gone to the courier now.

I've had the letters from the cardiologist and they've scared the shit out of me. Apparently I have a severely dilated left atrium, but I don't know whether that's what's causing the thumpiness, or the other way round, and whether it's permanent or what. Symptoms will be re-assessed in three months. Anyway, I've made an appointment with the GP.

Since I don't buy that many pressies for others I might as well buy some more for me. I've just ordered DVD's from Amazon and I hope they don't get lost somewhere, Love and Friendship, Ghostbusters and Ab Fab. Considered ordering The moonstone as well but I think I'll wait a while.

Apricot Well done by the medical lot there then (not) - why not just tell you to come in to talk about the results thater than send you a letter to confuse and worry you

My multi-tasking didn't go well today - it just meant I did lots of one thing and not much of others, and not as much of either of them as I wanted. Ho hum... what did go well was that I got the table booked for lunch for next months meet-up - have booked to include all the 'maybes' since it's easier to drop numbers than add them.

I also have a headache, but I think that's more due to having had very little to drink today. So my own stupid fault...

The consultant didn't send me the letter Helen, I phoned the hospital because I'd heard nothing, they said the letter had gone to my GP and I phoned them. It clearly wasn't meant for me because it's full of medical jargon but I asked for it. They've just left me hanging. DD is unimpressed (she works there) and she's going to have a word.

Feel your pain re work Christmas parties. I don't particularly want to spend time with most of my colleagues at work so I really don't want to socialise with them. This is why I go to DH's. They're nice people and it's free and an overnight stay in a lovely hotel
