DS is sick, what would a good Italian mum cook for him? First time he is properly sick, I need to cook him something, even if he might not eat it...

There is an article on Exeter in Today's Guardian, almost tempted to leave my tiny abode here here in London for the sea side, and Dartmoor, and the lovely properties....Are you a fan of Exeter Franca?

franca70 · 24/02/2007 20:30

where in the guardian? I didn't have the time to sit down and read today. Well, the area is amazing. fantastic beaches, dartmoor, exmoor national park, cornwall is near etc. It's really beautiful. If I have to be totally honest, when we moved here 7 yrs ago I was devastated. I had lived the first 28 yrs of my life in the same place, and loved it. I had lots of friends, many of them I grew up with and I missed them like hell (still am). Don't get me wrong, I was incredibly happy to be living with my (then not yet) husband, but I so missed my life in Milano. It took me years to get over the fact that it wasn't likely that we could go back. And I felt very isolated when we had the children. But I'm feeling more at peace now. It's really a great place for children. And adults who like the outdoors (trying to froce myself to become one). However, I'm still hoping we might go back in a few years....
what about you? come on, move to exeter!

franca70 · 24/02/2007 20:30

force, sorry

redeastend · 24/02/2007 20:33

We are not outdoorsy people ,we pretend sometimes for ds' sake, but really we are more bookish, interested in galleries, city walks, etc. The countryside fills me with despair.....What can I get for 250 grand in Exeter?

franca70 · 24/02/2007 20:43

It depends on the area.
had a quick look on fulfords and with 249.900 pounds you get a three beds semidetached in pennsylvania, which is quite a nice area.
the poshest area is st leonards, really expensive, because it's relatively close to the centre, close to lots of school (lots of private), close to hospital etc.
there are lots of website, if you're interested there's
fulfords
wilkinson grant
whitton laig(I think)
your move (I think)
etc. come on!
we can swap books, and no bevilacqua, i promise
