As above. It's late, and I'm too tired to be clever or witty. (Business as usual then Hmm )

If anyone needs me I'll be in the hayloft with Athos Grin

I reckon the gardener guy is holding it all in - when he relaxes he'll be back in proportion.

Madame - sounds like a great weekend, and re. DS new school. all will be fine...

Badders - the first time the beardy one in the hat appeared on screen DH said "You've got a musketeer in this episode!" Grin

Comtess erm... hope all's well and you're having too much fun to bother updating us on stuff.

FancyFancy · 30/10/2016 21:16

Well some of us are in the middle of a drought madame & can't afford to be too fussy Wink
Best of luck to your DS tomorrow, I'm sure he'll be fine but it is nerve wracking for you

Ooh badders - who's the guy in the second pic?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/10/2016 21:29

Fancy that's James Marsden who was also in Xmen as cyclops

Poor Badderz Sad feel better soon

Lots of squidges for you today Madame. DS will be just fine x

Ninja cats were helpful - thanks Helen

Good luck if you have to take Sigrid to the vet Wicked

Can't really recall much else I'm afraid. DH and the DC were being annoying yesterday although I think my tolerance levels were fairly low.

It claims to be Monday today. I don't think that can be right. I am not accepting Monday.

Hey wenchi

Sorry for lack of posting. I've been phoneless since last week. Angry my handbag was stolen from a restaurant on Monday night with EVERYTHING in there Haloween Sad. neighbour friend and I were sitting having a drink before we ordered (outside). Now, I always loop handbag strap around bottom of chair leg as a precaution of someone whipping off with your bag. However, on this occasion for some reason I'd looped the bag under the leg of the chair next to me, which I wasn't sitting on. Sudden movement, chair goes flying. Didn't even work out what had happened to start with but someone had grabbed the bag, strap had knocked chair over, person run off. Was sooooooooooooo cross. With myself as well as thief.

Anyway, only one bit of luck was that my car key and door key were in my jeans pocket (though I never normally put them in there so just lucky), which at least meant we could drive home.

So I've had a right nightmare sorting out bank cards, work ID, my bloody diary, and phone. Plus my Korres lip balm that I can't live without and can't seem to find here to buy was in there. Grrrrrrrrrr. It's all covered on my insurance but right fucked off about it. So, cos of work, first opportunity to get phone sorted was Sat and it's taken ages to get all sorted. Silver cloud is nice new iphone 7 😄.

So big BRF's at naughty Oz thieves.

What did wenches think of Poldark? Haven't seen this week's yet but I think I've gone right off him to the point that I'm not entirely sure I can be arsed to watch. Think it might be the last one today anyway.

Haven't seen any of Strictly but I read the Guardian blog as it's very funny. I'm supporting Greg Rutherford purely because he's a lovely sporty man 😄. (Disclaimer - haven't actually seen him dance).

Right, now off out for dinner with Mr C. Clutching my goddamn handbag and not putting it down. Gaah.

I might try and get neighbour to illegally record Graham Norton next week I think.

Comtess · 31/10/2016 08:08

Oh and big cwtch to MadameDS. He will be fine. I can honestly say with this whole move the easiest thing of all has been the kids swapping into a new school and by the end of the week it was like they'd always been there. Pob lwc!

Badders123 · 31/10/2016 08:09

Hey comtesse Smile
What a nightmare! I love Korres stuff too! Their cc cream is ace
Madame - good luck vibes for ds today.
I haven't watched any poldark so can't comment but like GR in strictly
Very foggy and grey here today
I will be running some errands and coming home to veg out!

Comtess · 31/10/2016 08:21

It's going to 32 degrees here by the end of the week Bads 😊. Have to say, so far not missing mist and fog.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/10/2016 08:53

Have a nice dinner comtess

Get DSis or DS1 to bring a stock of Korres with you for Xmas (if you can last that long)

ew!! for badders

LetUs you're most welcome to the ninja cats, but I think it was actually wicked who sent them. I simply said that the patio hadn't been laid quite yet...

Morning

Hope it all went ok this morning madame

Boo to handbag thieves comtess, but it's to be expected I guess - moving to a place where the inhabitants are descended from transported convicts? Wink Hope you're having a lovely meal

Hope you're feeling better soon badders & that everyone else has good days

Badders123 · 31/10/2016 09:53

Ah you see you can keep your 32 degrees Smile
That would kill me Confused
It's quite chilly out

Badders123 · 31/10/2016 10:09

Helen..I'm currently ignoring it and hoping it goes away Hmm
If I still feel dodgy by weds I'll go to the dr

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/10/2016 10:56

Speak for yourself Badders - I'm quite happy to bask in 32 degrees - as long as I'm not expected to do anything but bask. Hope you feel better soon though.

Morning wenches. Happy Halloween I bloody hate it.

Hope MadameDS has a good day at his new school.

God, Comtess that's awful. It's as much the inconvenience as the loss. Very jealous of your 32 degrees.

Hope you feel better soon Badders.

Nice day here, wonder if the washing will dry on the line. Hmm

Badders123 · 31/10/2016 11:41

I don't do Halloween really apes
But I have bought some sweets as we do get quite a few trick or treaters
Been chatting with dh over the weekend re job. I've been pretty knackered since I started (which I know sounds ridiculous when I only work a few hours) but dh is working away so much more now and mum is getting more frail (not that she would agree with that!)
Dunno.
Dh thinks it's not worth the stress for such a small amount of money. I think I agree. Especially after last week!
I need to give a months notice but I can't figure out if this means I need to resign a month before we break up, or end of this month?
Do any knowledgeable wenches know?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/10/2016 14:04

Just had the running in the background.

Howie did the 'sword fighting as language' speech again Grin and at the end they were asked about the music and both said there was too much - that the powers-that-be should give the audience more credit and not use 'sad' music (or whatever) to signpost to the audience that this is a 'sad' scene. One main complaint from cast between seeing final cuts and the televised version was how much music was slapped over the top of scenes. Howie said the decision to do that was made by 'people who don't have very good taste' and Tamla's expression was priceless Shock and Confused

FancyFancy · 31/10/2016 14:56

Afternoon wenches.

Blimey Howie, don't mince your words! Grin

I would imagine a month's notice is just that badders, unless your contract says any different? Resigning a month before the end of term will give them more time to find a replacement though as I doubt much will happen over Christmas, so unless that leaves you out of pocket, it may be more convenient for you to give a month's 'term time' notice.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/10/2016 15:10

PS - Badders if you really want to leave, just ask them how the notice period works, since you're term-time only.

Assuming you really want to leave and this isn't just a reaction to the situation with the TA?

Oh - hello fancy Grin

I ought to get some lunch - DS is in the usual after school club, so no school run just yet...
