Ds2 is an able and fluent reader (imo) but his school use the accelerated reader programme and the books are soooo boring. He rarely gets 100% in the quizzes because he just reads them but zones out iyswim? Yet he has read the book daily and his comprehension is good.
Anyway, this morning he read the first chapter of how to train your dragon to me - he read it beautifully - only struggled with 2 words (fanatically and suggested)
Should I write a note in his reading book? I'm quite happy to provide books for him
To read at school....wwyd?

Badderz I'd keep doing what you're doing and yes, just make little notes in his reading planner. DS2 has school reading book but also school library book and when he reads anything (including his own books),I note it down. No harm in letting school know what he's going IMO.

I'm sorting Playmobil into sets. Do you know many little tiny bits and pieces there are in even small sets. Fucking thousands.

Also have washing on the line becoming marginally less damp than when I hung it out. I have got 10 tonnes of raspverries form the freezer which are going to be jammed, and DH ^will6 be making elderberry wine or they're going in the bin. Then we might have more freezer space for the gallnos of apple and pear puree we're making

I had an utterly classic anxiety dreamlast night where I was utterly unabe to press the right buttons to dial my parents' phone number. kept pressing the wrong numbers and having to start again FFS. Why can' t I have an anxiety dream where my worry is which position Athos wants me in first? I would happily 'worry' about that.

Also, re. reading - what LetUs said - keep with the school stuff, but write in his book about what he's reading (and comprehending) at home. That seemed to be a big thing at DS school one parents evening - they weren't impressed so much with what he could read, more that he could demonstrate that he understood it.

I think TB as Poldark would have been too much hotness for women around the world
