You don't strike me as that sort of person at all Pruni,I thought you would have loads of passions.

I can't get people without an opinion and/or a passion.

fishie · 25/01/2007 08:59

ooh md did you hear R4 classic serial of germinal? i only heard half of it on sunday and did recognise it but it seemed strangely un-french.

i seem to be mainly interested in food - cooking, growing, eating etc i could talk about plenty of other things (homelessness, diy methods, children) but would probably bore myself.

moondog · 25/01/2007 09:00

Yes,I did catch a bit of it and agree!
There is a film too.
Nowt like the book though.

CAMy · 25/01/2007 09:04

Education, education, education

I could bore for England on this subject , and frequently do

fishie · 25/01/2007 09:04

the r4 l'assommoir(sp?) was pretty good i thought, perhaps germi will pick up a bit, not sure how many eps so perhaps the pacing is off.

Tutter · 25/01/2007 09:12

oh god i think i'm a bit of a dullarse now

in the past it would have been: running, skiing, independent travel, music, fashion

now i cannot think of anything i could hold fort on except baby stuff, property and MN

methinks should attempt to get a life

fishie · 25/01/2007 09:15

i think it is a bit of an age thing too, once you have had the same conversation a few times it is difficult to sustain any mental passion on 'issues' - well for me anyway. i just think o been there can't be bothered let us talk about nice things to eat and drink instead.

emmatomATO · 25/01/2007 09:19

I do have many opinions and passions but I don't feel the urge to be quite so outspoken about them as I did when I was younger (and thought I knew everything!!!).

With age, comes a quiet maturity on expressing one's opinion. Perhaps we don't feel the need to be quite so vocal. We'd rather practice more what we used to preach and respect that others may have different views and ideas.

Who or what is Skinner? I could only think of Frank which shows how interesting I'd be at parties.

What am I interested in ?

Developmental Psychology
