We danced to, wait for it, "The wedding song" by Bob Dylan, a lovely song, but too long and very difficult to dance to, but we didn't react picking some thing so close to our hearts

Angeliz · 22/01/2007 20:27

I'm getting married soon and i'm thinking of Carly Simon's 'Nobody does it better'.

Not 100% but it's a nice song.

LaDiDaDi · 22/01/2007 20:27

Chasing Cars

It was a teenage wedding... (don't know what it's really called but that song from Pulp Fiction) although I'm sure it's not a teenage wedding!

Wonderwall

In my life by the Beatles, good lyrics but not too slushy and not a well known song.

Here Comes The Sun also a Beatles number

deaconblue · 22/01/2007 20:39

We danced to Coldplay's Green Eyes - don't do it, lasted forever with us going round in circles like tossers. If I was doing it again I would go for Barry White's My First, My LAst, My Everything and make ds learn a funky routine.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 22/01/2007 20:39

yours reminded me there of stevie wonder for once in my life and those words are quite good but a bit of a funky tune?!

kc and jojo all my life : )

KezzaG · 22/01/2007 20:43

I agree with shoppingbags, tell your friend to go for a fast song.

We had Love In The Air and learnt a dance routine and it brought the house down. Everyone was really cheering at all the "complicated" moves and it was so much better than just going round in a circle while everyone watched.

Also good would be Aint Nobody by Chaka Khan, If I cant have you I dont want nobody baby - dont know who sings it, or Everlasting Love.

deaconblue · 22/01/2007 20:51

Just reread my post and realised I said ds who was not even a twinkle in his daddy's eye on our wedding day! I meant, of course, dh

StrawberrySnowflakes · 22/01/2007 20:52

Good website for wedding music

here

SmileysPeople · 22/01/2007 20:52

We had 'The Wonder of you' Elvis and learnt a routine, it's not too long and has nive drum rolls.

I love 'love is in the Air' and you can really dance to that.

We had some dancing lessons and practised a (simple) routine. It was lovely, and actually made you LESS self conscious I felt.

friend had 'It had to be you' which worked well and I also love 'Your just too good to be true' which is good for dancing.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 22/01/2007 20:53

birth and my birth.

LittleBoSheep · 22/01/2007 21:02

KezzaG - if I cant have you was Yvonne Elliman...from Saturday night fever (cue school disco flashbacks!) She could always study the film for her first dance LOL

tirnanog · 22/01/2007 21:03

'I got you babe'-Sonny and Cher

KezzaG · 22/01/2007 21:03
