Thats great. But I bet your house finds more junk for your children to leave strewn across your downstairs area

JackieNo · 16/01/2007 15:36

. Would it be rude to ask how much that's costing?

NDPWillSpendLessTimeHereIn2007 · 16/01/2007 15:37

Errrrrrrrr, I'm pleased for you.....

There is no cupboard under my stairs (boo-hoo)

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 15:37

YEBBUT ... a SHOE drawer .. for the chucking-eth of shoe-eth

I cannot believe how many pairs of shoes end up downstairs .. regularly

I love my cupboard under the stairs. It even has a light that comes on when you open the door. And it goes off when you close it.

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 15:39

oooo .. lightage . .haven't thought that through yet .. there is a plug there at the moment .. will have to buy a light

We have a cupboard under our stairs where everything just gets chucked it started of tidy but now it is commonly known to me and dp as the cupboard of shit.

JackieNo · 16/01/2007 15:39

Wow. Interesting. But it will make the most of the storage, whereas our cupboard under the stairs is a complete nightmare. So I'm still .

ledodgy · 16/01/2007 15:39

*off

JackieNo · 16/01/2007 15:40

(btw the 'interesting' comment was to the price, not to ledodgy's 'cupboard of shit' ).

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 15:40

I thought that wsa pretty good value .. a coffee table costs a couple of hundred (not that we have a coffee table) .. and this is built-in storage .. wot I designed myself .. and they have built

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/01/2007 15:43

sorry....did I sound bitter? It's not that I am about your abundance of storage space or anything..........

InvisibleFlamesparrow · 16/01/2007 15:43
Envy

My porch stores all the shoes etc. I want to get stuff built in (we are in a temp shelving situation atm) but it is stupidly ££££. £1500 for a few slabs of MDF ?! Ridiculous IMO. Your £440 sounds good, twig.

The shoe drawer is good too, easier to use than shelves.

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 15:57

I thought that .. can just chuck em in .. shoes are notoriously difficult to store

Oati · 16/01/2007 15:59

we have a shoe rack under the stairs and a shoe basket for the kids shoes

SaintGeorge · 16/01/2007 15:59

Go on piglit, own up. You've stepped into the cupboard and shut the door haven't you? Just to check that light really goes out

itsmeNDP · 16/01/2007 16:00

I'd have to have something else for my shoes though. I'd get v farked orf if I had to dig through a box of smelly, muddy teenage shoes everytime I needed to find my own.

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 16:00

at stg .. she must have

OP posts:
Oati · 16/01/2007 16:01

NDP - you need my rack plus basket solution

itsmeNDP · 16/01/2007 16:02

S'ok, I have a big rack (snigger) and I just bollock the kids repeatedly until they do it properly....

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 16:03

got a rack .. doesn't work .. they just

OP posts:
SaintGeorge · 16/01/2007 16:03

Big rack and bollocks. Interesting combo.

Oati · 16/01/2007 16:05

StG - LOL
