Yes, lots of ones with horses in - bit of a theme in my house. My favourites are two by Yvo Jacquier which look like the one on the website front page \link{http://www.jacquier.org}

Itsthawooluff · 15/01/2007 13:44

Damn why hasn't that worked!!

hatwoman · 15/01/2007 13:49

lucykate - for a few weeks now I have been wanting to know your dh's name! I've been reading a book with a beautiful picture on it and it reminds me of his style. I understand if you don;t want to post it...did he win a prize in December for a book cover?

If I had the cash I'd pay Andy Goldsworthy to do something in my garden.

Back garden - not Lady garden of course. Ahem.

Fillyjonk is it an O'Keeffe?

welliemum · 16/01/2007 01:22

We have photos of family and travels, an old county map, botanical prints, prints from museums, some watercolours of a place where DH used to live, chinese painting of a lobster, er er some naif farm animals, oh and I've just had one of my favourite museum prints reframed: Klimt "Tannenbaum I". All chosen because of having some meaning for us.

Interesting to me to look at that list because it doesn't really reflect the sort of fine art I like to look at - there's plenty of stuff I like, but wouldn't hang on the walls.

welliemum · 16/01/2007 01:23

Whoops, that's Klimt's "Tannenwald" not "Tannenbaum"... there's more than 1 tree

we have a few paintings by family members, including a beautiful one of DD on the beach which my cousin painted and we got for Christmas
also lots of carvings - uncle was a renowned wood carver/sculptor in NZ
some drawings by me (!) and some arty photos also by er...me
and plenty of prints/ceramics as well - can't resist them. Including a very ancient and fine set of proper ceramic flying ducks (not your fancy modern repros).
NOthing very fancy though. would like some more art but am very fussy.
