This thread gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside everytime I read it

Hey Amanda this is great!! Have just seen this thread and jsut about caught up.

Right, fwiw I'm 38 and have just been on holiday with lasses and got up to much worse than you. In fact yours isn't even bad as you knew him really well and he obviously had the hots for you already.
I'm not sure why you feel old tbh? I feel younger now than I did 10 years ago. Feel really free and confident.

Anyway, dh is 12 years older than me so I'm similar to you and your future dh

Oh and my encounter on hols has turned into the real deal so it was well worth it. Marriage has been over a while apart from odd bit of effort dh made but he's back to normal. Not bothered though, not a jot!

Can't wait to hear how it went. No ignoring us on Saturday especially if he has a laptop

I should imagine he feels he's already had his Christmas present from you .

I did say take a pic surreptitiously.

And why would you think he's out of your league? Don't put yourself down.

TrueToForm · 20/12/2006 10:29

he likes you... it's brill.

do not get him a present!

zookeeper · 20/12/2006 10:57

..unless it's pink fluffy handcuffs...

Listmaker · 20/12/2006 11:21

No, don't get him a present! Oh this is so exciting! I remember days like that when going into work was exciting! Now I have to live vicariously so this is FAB!!!

yULeYSEES · 20/12/2006 11:29

Definitely no pressie or pic but I know that was in jest

You are as good as the next person Amanda, don't know why you have this crap in your head babe? Hey, and you're a mumsnetter so actually you're in the elite You'll have gifts that he doesn't have and vice versa. We're all unique and beautiful and wonderful....da da da la la [fluffy emoticon]

take care and enjoy the ride!

Skyler · 20/12/2006 12:02

I love the note in your xmas card from him. This is seriously so much fun and so exciting. It has been so long since anything like this happened for me . And as I love my DH to bits despite the fact he is as romantic as a stone, it is unlikely to really . Anyway I can re-live the first heady days through you so keep the posts coming .
Oh and don't buy him a present, just give him one on Friday

Amanda - this is just so fantastic! I LOVE the dress - you're going to look stunning. And what a sweetheart quoting stuff out of Love Actually. (I think I may well be in love with him myself -the Andrew Lincoln storyline is my favourite bit in the film..! ).

And love the comment in the Christmas card - he's a soppy thing isn't he?!

Can't wait now for the report back on Saturday - shall settle myself down with a coffee at the computer in the afternoon!!!

Clary · 20/12/2006 13:01

Ooh I'm loving this thread, esp vicaious excitement of MN-ers. have a great date Amanda

naughtynoonoo · 20/12/2006 13:02

Well, he obviously likes Chablis and it does get his juices flowing so why not get him one as a pressie - cheeky mare might even get you a bottle and as he pours it into the glass something clicks at the bottom of it and sparkles. Bet he is just as excited as you!

AtterySquash · 20/12/2006 13:22

You sound fantastic, Amanda: don't believe for one second he's out of your league.

IdrisTheRedNosedDragon · 20/12/2006 13:33

I love this thread .

DeepPannCrispandEven · 20/12/2006 14:00

Mandy!

He is senior manager. With integrity. So he is NOT ALLOWED to 'notice you', never mind make some unqualified advance.

Didn't stop him noticing you though!

and that thing about leagues? Forget it. He sounds as if he is as excited as you, and we, are. You are living our day dreams!!!

Skylertnightholynight · 20/12/2006 14:05

Doesn't Andrew Lincoln's character say he LOVES Kiera Knightley's character????

DeepPannCrispandEven · 20/12/2006 14:08

Nothing like pressure then, eh Sky??

Skylertnightholynight · 20/12/2006 14:10

Well quite. .

9BeetrootsDancing · 20/12/2006 14:11

I would wear fishnets my dear. Or very sheer seamed. stockings not tights

he will not know what has hit him

DeepPannCrispandEven · 20/12/2006 14:35

Has this been mentioned?

If he is a manager at your place, I assume he has info. rights over your email account..?

jus a thought....

YuletidePaps · 20/12/2006 14:46

perhaps give him a misteltoe boutonniere, excuse to kiss him

VeniVidiVickiQV · 20/12/2006 16:44

oh Panntomime....pack it in.

elliot3 · 20/12/2006 17:05
