what did you do with him? the full delmonty?

SnafuOutOfHiding · 17/12/2006 21:20

Hate to say it, but they will do more than suspect. They will know.

Still, at least it was the boss of your boss. Aim high, that's what I say

SherlockLGJ · 17/12/2006 21:21

SherlockLGJ · 17/12/2006 21:23

Sorry to hear that.

Well that is you accounted for, how about your boss ?

scatterbrain · 17/12/2006 21:24

VPL · 17/12/2006 21:26

tiredemma · 17/12/2006 21:26

Well - he's the senior person in this - so he has to have most to lose. I would go in - head held high and pretend nothing has happened.

You are single - so you've not really done anything tho be ashamed of. IF he is married or in a relationship he's the arse and people will know that.

If all else fails - deny everything - only you and he actually KNOW what happened - so you could just say you shared a cab, or you went for a coffee - just because you left together does not mean that anythinbg happened ! IYSWIM !

As for him - I think it's up to him to approach you if he wants to discuss it, shut you up or even see you again !

Good Luck !

SnafuOutOfHiding · 17/12/2006 21:29

Was it a bad move because it's embarrassing careerwise etc or a bad move because you wouldn't have touched him with a barge pole of sober? IYSWIM?

SnafuOutOfHiding · 17/12/2006 21:30

if sober

morningpaper · 17/12/2006 21:31

Ahhhh I've done that about a billion times

Act cool and distant and professional and be very brilliant at work as per usual and it'll be fine

scatterbrain · 17/12/2006 21:31

Sorry - cross posted there !

What's the problem then - you are both free agents ! Worst thing will be a bit of gossip maybe but as I said the only people who KNOW what happened are the two of you.

Do you like him ? Would you want to see him again ?

In that case - maybe you should have a quiet word with him first thing tomorrow - along the lines of "I want you to know that I don't do things like this - I think it's very unprofessional, and I hope we can keep this between us as I would hate to be the subject of office gossip".

That leaves it open for him to say either he agrees and says you can both forget it - ir he asks you out !

tiredemma · 17/12/2006 21:36

Oh Ok- sorry! Know what you mean

RickmanAroundTheXmasTree · 17/12/2006 21:39

Is no one else now desperate to know where Amanda went?
