Silas (great name but with surname of Slack!)

I think they're all great as opposed to daft though!

I know a Glasgow couple who named their child Jimmy. The surname is Small.

Of course in Scotland the child will be known forever more as "wee Jimmy".

One of the families at the nursery where i work have got 5 kids called.... Aschanti, Blaine, Brin, Shacotai and Logan! Not the most common names ever!

there is a blaine in my dd's class. he has a twin sister whose name i cant even say let alone spell - she's nice though apparently

Axel is a very common German name. I've had several friends called Axel. What is the point of this? It's nasty.

I used to study with a french girl called Aliki Braine. Really truly. She was mortified when someone told her what her name described in English!

I like the idea of funny names - I remember once watching a TV programme about it and there was a woman whose name was Jilly, but married and became Jilly Jelly. Another was Aaron C Rescue. There's someone round here called Kerry whose married surnmae is also Kerry.

I went through a phase of wanting to call DS1 Axel, think it was pregnancy hormones.
