raining here - no washing unlessI want to stick it on the line for an extra rinse. Besides I had to do a load last night thanks to DS being a mud monster.
Legoland - I think that rides open at 10am and the park opens at about 9. We usually get there for 9, trudge through the 'getting in' queue, pay for queue bots (because DH has the patience of something with no patience and would rather pay the extra money than have it physically stand in the queue, and I can't say I blame him when accompanied by DS having a whine) and then you can go into the star wars lego exhibit behind the shops on the right because that's open even though the rides aren't yet.
We always take food with us and drinks, and resist the winge-factor to buy food/drink there "But Mummy it has A Lego Ninjago character on it!!! "Yes, and it costs £XXX, so No." #cruel parent
If you lose a DC properly
don't panic - a staff member will whisk them away to the 'lost child centre' where they will be dumped in front of the Lego movie and they will actualy complain why you (stressed and traumatised) turn up from the other side of the park to retrieve them and demand to know why they left the play area and didn't come to find you in the place where they themselve told you to wait for them.
There is a good, big non-ticketed climbing-frame play area over near the pirate ship with only one entrance/exit where you can safely let them play while you collapse in aheap. Because there only one entrace/exit and they can't leave without you seeing them. (Unless they've already made you sit in a different specific place in the play area and then forgotten about that and left the play area, wailing because they cant find you. #NotTraumatiseByThatExperienceAtAll
Also, getting there earlier means you can get away easier because you can queue for hours to get out again when they close down unless you're parked near the entrance/exit.
Have fun
Hope wicked is feeling ok...
