Morning all.

We spent last night avoiding rugby (too stressful for DH) and watching LoTR-Returnof the King. Mmmmm.. Aragorn. We let DS watch it as a treat (because he watched the first two while I was away at the last meet-up) So I had to stop myself laughing at the bits that reminded me of The Very Secret Diaries I was also mostly bored by the Frodo/Sam bits, which slightly misses the point of the entire series, but what can I say - they're just a bit tedious and not remotely hot. (mmmmmmmmmmmm Aragorrrrrnnnnn is definitely as grubby, and might almost be as as hot as Athos - the one who is played by Tom. You know - Athos? This Athos?)

This all meant that DS had v. late night. "hurrah" thinks I "He'll sleep later tomorrow and I'll get a lie-in!!". Yeah, right. In he bumbles at 6:30 on the dot, as usual...

Oh well - ubless someone else has arrived while I've been gibbering away, the tavern seems to be empty, so time for a good clean methinks...

In other news, the cat's appear to have had a good night - no-one's chewing my ankles off for food - am keeping a wary eye out of bits of half-eaten wildlife before I tread on anything unpleasant.

Off to unplug DS from the computer now...

My DD is like your DS. Doesn't lie in however late she stays up. Not much incentive to let her stay up!

Baby keeps having lie ins at the moment but that is useless to me as DD is still up bright and early! Also am on a course today and had to get up at 5 as no time to do pre reading before that.

Morning all.

My DS sounds like Morelike DD and Helen's DS. Thankfully now he just heads downstairs and watches TV or the iPad and leaves us alone but it was a long long time before he started doing that!!!

Haven't watched Patagonia yet. Will save it for this week when DH is away. Oh what's that DH? You're away for a week and come back just before we go on holiday? Oh that's never happened before has it? And I'll do all the packing and buying food and assembling boots, waterproofs, bike bits etc?? Am calm honest!!!!

Am watching Downton rather than rewatch or Our Girl rewatch but will endeavour to catch up one day eventually.

Working today but have a lovely lovely day all.

My ds1 has never slept in in his entire life (he is 12)
Even when he was younger we would sometimes be at a and e with him for nebulisers etc (he is asthmatic) and get back about 2am....still up at 6.30!!

Ds2 will lie in - in fact last week I had to wake him for school on Thursday and Friday!

It's sunny. I'm tired. I have mounds of washing to do. DH is going to work in an hour. I have heating and hot water again though which is lovely.

Lyndie I understand your packing frustrations. I have the same. DH comes home on night before, takes ages to decide what he needs, decides things need washing and generally fucks about. This next holiday he has the day off before we go but he's got DS at home because it is a TT day at work so I'm in. Bet he still messes about and can't look after DS and pack. Sigh.

DH out tonight so I plan Patagonia followed by rewatch. Really looking forward to it after the break.

Going to my parents for a lovely roast today. Looking forward to it as I usually see them when they are here or looking after the kids and I want to see them just to see them plus the roast

Little DS doesn't sleep well unless in our bed but I do get until 7am now. Big DS gets up early but just reads. It's bloody hard work with non sleepers/early risers.

All of ours pretty much get up and get breakfast and veg out with cbbc. The older two make sure DS3 has breakfast. I found them all huddled together on the sofa this morning. We do live in a flat though and our bedroom is next door to the living room so I can hear everything and doze rather than sleep.

Morelike - I will need him back as it is Sunday - but the 5am start does deserve some reward.
