It's a new term so early to bed for the little darlings & back to the Muskeperving for us wenches. New pupils always welcome if you are taking Musketeers A-Level. You 4 new boys in leather can come & sit at the front where I can keep an eye on you And no guns in class. Now FOCUS you lot.

Don't shoot yourself - you're about to have a holiday! at least wait until you're back home Wink

IT/HR/Procurement - all full of people who are doing their level best to stop you doing your job

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 10/09/2015 12:29

Helen that is rather harsh to IT people Grin

No fighting at school day. Thank Fuck For That.

Badders123 · 10/09/2015 12:58

2 loads done, another load on.
Have stripped the boys beds. Will do mine tomorrow.
Been to ikea for breakfast a new light shade. Then to co op for chicken for tea. I'm doing a roast as its dhs last meal with us til he gets back from the U.S.
My throat is so sore :( I think I might be coming down with ds2s lurgy :(
Otoh I have started my period today and am pleasantly surprised - no migraine or sore boobs! I think the menopace are working!! :)
Then I need to go to mums and mow her lawn before I pick up ds2.
I really will try again with w and p Obs. I promise. My dad was always aghast I had never read it Blush
I was aware toms character is not a main character in the book so I am heartened to see him so upfront in the promo.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/09/2015 13:00

AliBabs Grin I'm sure they say the same about me. And to be fair, the IT part has only applied since I started working in the current BoringOfficeJob for the LargeUnwieldyOrganisationAnd I'm equally aware that it's because they're all overworked and understaffed. But still. RRRRRRRRRRWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #Madame

Oh - Obs - nice slecteion there frmo googleimages. Though a random NotAthos-or-HBF bloke appears in the middle of the selection

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/09/2015 13:40

I'm a bit bored, though I ought to be working still... Think the washing is done now (anythign for distraction. this will do the trick too Grin

3 loads done. One load in washer.
Phew.
Just need to put it all away now.
It's quite warm here ????

ApricotCrush · 10/09/2015 14:44

Beautifully warm here too! I'm sitting out in the garden. The duvet's doing really well. I think it'll be done tomorrow! Grin

FancyFancy · 10/09/2015 15:28

Afternoon

I love how duvet watch has been added to thread topics!

Very interesting W&P comments obs - not boring at all. I've read it, but never really analysed it, so it's good to hear more knowledgeable thoughts Grin. It was a while ago too & I can't decide whether to re-read before it airs as I've forgotten so much. I didn't find it as hard to read as I expected (Epilogue aside - that I found turgid) as I enjoyed the characters so much, I've read harder going classics . So don't be put off wenches - you want to sound knowledgeable to TB when you see him at promo events don't you? Wink

Yay for no fighting at school ali - is he enjoying himself there?

Badders123 · 10/09/2015 15:35

Final load of the day on line.
I feel like shite - predictable as Dh is due to leave on sat!
Ffs.
Children in oven.
Just need to do the veg now.

FancyFancy · 10/09/2015 15:49

Well I know all DCs can be annoying little shits at times badders, but I think you may have over-reacted there. You haven't turned the gas on have you? Wink

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/09/2015 15:49

Children in oven ShockShock Bads WTF!!!!

Badders123 · 10/09/2015 15:53

The (dead) chicken is in the oven!

ApricotCrush · 10/09/2015 16:02
Badders123 · 10/09/2015 16:05

FancyFancy · 10/09/2015 16:07

Yeah....stroke that sword baaby

IssyStark · 10/09/2015 16:27

Afternoon all!

Thanks wenches for the Brew - much needed as today has been meeting and teaching. Feel shattered and still have cold lingering about but have been Lemsip free for five days now, so not as bad as it was. DrIssy took day off due to broken sleep and severe jetlag, git. I've just spent the past half hour properly catching up with the thread and various goings on of DHs and DCs. can we all clone Comtess's ds1, please?

Re bed wetters, I am so glad I have waterproof sheets on out bed (got some when paranoid about waters going) but has been a godsend for split tea/boob leakgage/leaky nappies etc! Ds1 was dry at night about 3-ish but was not dry reliably during the day until he was almost 6 (what fun!) DS2 was dry during the day from 3y1m and dry at night from about the same time. It's all to do with hormones overnight and bugger all you can do about it.

Would love to read W&P but didn't even manage to listen to it all on the radio last Xmas (although the bits I caught were really good and I wish I'd had a free day to just indulge)

Anyway, must get back to work... Laters!

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 10/09/2015 16:28

Bads - Grin

Fancy he absolutely loves it, comes home full of what he's been doing, is clearly really engaged with everything going on there. I am hoping DS1 might pick up a few tips about how to pay attention, he daydreams through life and then wonders why he doesn't know what's going on!

Apes I get our duvets washed via Timpsons who we use for dry cleaning. Only costs £20 which is a lot less than a new winter weight king-size. Glad you've got a lovely day to get it dry!

I think I am going to have wine this evening. Not had any since Sunday night and I am feeling the need! Wine

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 10/09/2015 16:29

x-posts Issy - grrr for the day off! When is it your turn???

IssyStark · 10/09/2015 16:34

Ali I bloody know! He's just texted to say he doesn't feel safe to drive so can we make our own way home. Angry However he is on the third load of the day. Methinks my rant before he went off to the States might have got through.

We also get our duvet dry cleaned - just easier and less likely to go mouldy Grin

Badders123 · 10/09/2015 16:35

I'm going to get ours dry cleaned this winter.
