It's a new term so early to bed for the little darlings & back to the Muskeperving for us wenches. New pupils always welcome if you are taking Musketeers A-Level. You 4 new boys in leather can come & sit at the front where I can keep an eye on you And no guns in class. Now FOCUS you lot.

Seems like it Badders and TM isn't back at preschool till next week. My head feels like there are actual mice living in it.

Thankfully bm has dodged it and tm is in the sneezing stage.

Badders123 · 07/09/2015 15:43

So much snot from such a small person.....
He is eating ok which is good. I know he's really ill when he doesn't eat :)

I've missed you!

Badders123 · 07/09/2015 15:44

It's odd..I had a terrible night on Friday - like a sinus headache - and spent sat afternoon in bed.
Then of course ds2 was up and down all Saturday night.
I feel like roadkill tbh.
I will have a bath later and see if that unblock my head.

FancyFancy · 07/09/2015 15:59

And yes helen, we've had sun here all day so far - it's lovely . Whole house clean & two loads of washing on the line.

And a little something extra to cheer you up

Yes fancy being trapped at home does mean I have actually got stuff done today :)
3 loads on the line....count em.
Have done the dishes
Have descaled the kettle
Hoovered downstairs.
That's it.
Apart from try and get ds to blow his nose properly and liberal application of Vicks.

FancyFancy · 07/09/2015 16:10

Well it sounds like you've earned Brew badders - assuming the smell of Vicks hasn't killed your taste buds!

And now to reward me for my productive morning

Badders123 · 07/09/2015 16:16

I quite like the smell of Vicks. and olbas oil. I'm weird.

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 07/09/2015 16:17

I've missed you lot too.

I've done laundry and hoovering.

Thanks fancy.

MrsEvadneCake · 07/09/2015 16:19

Oh badders and mouse Being poorly/having poorly DC is such hard work.

My DH and I had a huge row about his lack of effort yesterday. Just what I needed before my proper return to work and little DSs first day back in KS2. I get so fed up of being on my own and then his lack of participation/effort at weekends. It's hard work with the two of them and dealing with physio, meltdowns, appointments and being full time at work too. i didn't sleep last night because I was furious and anxious. Today's been a good day at work but I'm shattered now.

Badders123 · 07/09/2015 16:24

Sounds rubbish. How was ds?
I don't know what the answer is tbh wrt all these twatbadgers.
Sigh.

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 07/09/2015 16:26

Mr M isn't a twatbadger per se, just a messy fucker and I'm tired of constantly picking up his slack.

Wench holiday and leaving them to stew in their own filth might be an answer?

FancyFancy · 07/09/2015 16:26

Well it sounds like everyone needs cheering up. Here have

FancyFancy · 07/09/2015 16:31

Wench commune is the answer

MrsEvadneCake · 07/09/2015 16:36

best thing to happen all day!DS likes his new teacher, she's new to the school too, thanks badders.

I told him if he didn't get his arse in gear I'd do it on my own all time and he could do all the weekends as that would be his contact time.

MrsEvadneCake · 07/09/2015 16:37

Wench commune indeed!!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/09/2015 17:23

In Sweden Smile

ElkforLeather · 07/09/2015 17:57

Oh Bads

It's soooooo hard when the kids are poorly, and you're poorly, and it feels like there's never any fucking end to it Sad

But I see your problem.....you spent too long descaling the kettle. What you should have done was settle down with a large cake and a large Athos, applied one to the other and then enjoyed them both. See?

and Cake and ^^

It's up to you where you apply it, my choice would be straight down the middle....

AnneEtAramis · 07/09/2015 17:59

My fab new boss has just not batted an eye that my childcare has gone to shit tomorrow morning and that on week 2 I want to work from home on Wednesday as it's DS3s first day at school and I have a year. 5 meeting that DS1 is adamant I must attend. Feeling pretty chuffed right now.

First world problem for you all. Before I knew I was going to go back to uni properly this year I signed up for a two week class on theatre of a particular country to keep me busy. I now, could do with reading for my MA instead and am a but concerned it's going to be full of aspiring actors and directors (being held at a nice theatre). I am considering not going because I basically just like the literature. But it cost £70?

What would Aramis you do?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/09/2015 18:19

Anne Go to the first one and see if you like it? Ditch it if you think your time would be better/more enjoyably spent with Aramis elsewhere?

Been working - 1hr 15 min phone call must sort out tea for DS now.

Elk I love the new name by the way Grin though I shall always be fond of the ElkFire too.

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 07/09/2015 19:13

I agree with helen, anne. Give it a go.

Am loving elkforleather too.

Yaaay for minimint. Smile

Have gotten the downstairs clean finally.

MrsEvadneCake · 07/09/2015 19:18

I'm another vote for give it a try Anne and shoehorn your reading in on the loo? when you can.

Well done mouse. I've got to do the bins. Hate bin night.

LaComtess · 07/09/2015 19:44

Evening my lovelies

Ah, back to school, back to germs. Dreadful isn't it?

Manic here as MrC working like mad for the next few weeks, and I'm as usual dangerously on the edge of reason. However, what you all need is a ds1 not at uni acting as your housekeeper.

Today he has;
Taken ds4 to school
Done the food shop
Cleaned downstairs of house
2 loads of washing
Ironed 6 shirts
Picked veg from allotment for elderly neighbour
Helped attach towing bar to friends car.

Fabulous! He's told me he's really tired and no one realises how hard housework is. Bless him. I wish i could clone him and distribute around wench needs.

So. Lady chatterley. Was pissed off with football and went to bed in a huff so missed it and also rewatch. Bad Comtess. Is the sex good? Shall I watch on catchup? He's alright on GoT.... Worth a watch??

PSML at Elk's comment ref washing machine not giving a shit. Proper guffaw. Nice NC too.

Yay for all wenches, cwtches for poorly ones and fist pump for Alibabs first day of school success.

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 07/09/2015 19:56

Aaw at your ds comtess. I can't wait for the day mine are old enough to be useful

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/09/2015 20:20
LetUsPrey · 07/09/2015 20:45

Evening wenches. Have RBNRM.

Badderz, Mouse, MintyEva - I absolutely wish I could give you all enormous wenchy hugs right now. Some days/weeks it really can be a case of "okay, who'd like to shovel another load of shit on to my life?"

Today was spectacularly meh at work. I am sick to actual fuck of roadworks with temporary traffic lights on my way to and from work. One lot should have finished on Friday but it's still there, and then when it does finish there's another lot due to start for a few weeks on Wednesday, and there's already a further lot been started a little bit further on. It's been every fucking day for fucking ages and I am fucking well fed up.

Also, one of my favourite pairs of earrings broke today. Nothing really in the grand scheme of things but the slightest thing is going to push me into stupid emotional tears. Woewoewoe etc
