Have completely lost my food mojo. Failed to go blackberrying this avvo (but did prune redcurrants and hack back aged roses which will have to be grubbed up late this year) and am lacking inspiration to make an as yet undefined dinner. How managed to get out of Ikea with family intact, cushions, napkins and no candles!

DrIssy has provided a cocktail and after more of me lying of sofa bemoaning the food situation, had taken himself off to kitchen to cook. Result

I committed to making a roast today. Given I had to google the cooking of a jacket potato this is interesting. All appears to be going well.

Am OTB and fecked off with it. I don't sleep for the first night or so, so am tired and hormonal - not a good combination! Am going to parents' to watch the cricket in a bit (because that is so not going to improve my mood!)

Roast was pretty good actually, it was all ready at the same time which is what I struggle with. Planning on a soup with the carcass of the chicken today and cooking chicken chasseur and mashed potato for dinner.
