Knackered today. DS1 enjoyed his party - there were only 6 of them altogether but everyone had a nice time.

2.5 more term days to get through and then holidays for 2.5 weeks! I have extended it by a week - DH is going to come home and go back to work and then come back out the following weekend to share the drive home with me. He's got to be away for work for most of the week, so seemed pointless to come home and be here with the kids rather than still on hols with doting and helpful grandparents

ali, glad the party went well, 6(ish) is quite a good number for parties in my experience - a bit more personal & they usually all get a chance to be involved & have fun. Bet you still needed the afterwards though

She's elderly with multiple health issues and hasn't really been coping since we lost dad. She falls all the time, and has a some bad ones last weekend and today. I'm going to see if I can nag some health professionals into agreeing with me that she is at crisis point and to stop fecking discharging her from hospital when they know she will be back in again within the week. Poor DSis lives close to her and bears the brunt of all this, but she's got enough to cope with with other things.

My friend got a lovely cape from apricot.

I didn't think it was racist. Have come across white pudding before but can't remember what it is so unhelpful.

Black pudding is made from blood, so god knows about white pudding. No I didnt think it was racist either ww!

Just read a really interesting article about depression as possibly linked to auto-immune system issues as opposed to "your fault for not having a positive attitude" type thing. Not sure about how medically sound it is, maybe medi-wenches know?
