Rewatches are going to be excellent! Anne Im afraid Im too flaky to stand in as deputy. maybe we should just nominate nearer the time according to wench availability?

Ive just watched most of s1 with ds and really enjoyed it. I also need to buy s2 though.

And what exactly do you have against south london fancy? Im almost from north London, but a south london convert after ending up living there for a good few years. All of london is ace imo apart from the really poncey bits

FancyFancy · 14/07/2015 08:53

Nothing except for blind prejudice madame Grin

morelikeguidelines · 14/07/2015 08:59

I'm not originally from sarf London either but it feels like home now.

Grandmother was from Lancashire though so have always felt that, if I had a rose, it would be red Grin

FolknNorah · 14/07/2015 09:09

I've always felt an affinity with Yorkshire, like I have for Scotland.

BloodyElkFire · 14/07/2015 09:31

Mornin'

I'm underneath the Pennines, not my preferred position but hey

FolknNorah · 14/07/2015 10:26

It's all getting a bit west side story innit Grin

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 14/07/2015 10:54

Morning wenches Brew

Arf at 'I'm underneath the Pennines' Grin Disclaimer I am having a slightly weird day

Who wants to see a total vision of sexy hotness
Form an orderly queue.... Grin

Just catching up with thread - WTF has been happening in here? It's a re-enactment of the Wars of the Roses ShockGrin

AnneOfAramis · 14/07/2015 11:27

Norah and Fancy thank you so much. I knew that I could rely on your both.

I have always had an affinity with Paris no, really. I think it is the excitement, the noise ... the danger amongst other things. I genuinely do love Paris and have never noticed the rudeness that some wenches mentioned over the weekend. I love it.

Enormouse · 14/07/2015 12:29

Morning

I have been a bad wench. Twatkindle wouldn't charge and I've had to spend the morning looking for new shoes for toddlermouse and first walkers for babymouse. May as well just pin money to myself and let people pick it off.

as a west Midlands born wench, who lived in north london and now in NI I have love for everywhere. But I felt most at home in London

IssyStark · 14/07/2015 12:34

Anyway, as a second generation Mancunian graduate suppose I'd be red rose but I always had a soft spot for the Yorkists and spent my teenage years as a member of the Richard III society, so def. would rally around the white rose. Best friend from uni, a proud Yorkshireman (is there any other sort?) was gutted when told by one of our lecturers that the Duchy of Lancaster had extended into west Yorkshire. Poor lad Grin

And as for Londoners, am related by marriage to more northerners: what can I say, PIL used to hang out at the Ace café with Babs Windsor...

MadamedeChevreuse · 14/07/2015 12:48

Arf at west side story nora.

Enormouse · 14/07/2015 12:52

I've just started a futurelearn course on the England of Richard III Grin

AnneOfAramis · 14/07/2015 12:59

I fancy a course on 17th century France but it might interfere with my other studies.

".....I like to be in the Swagger Inn!
O.K. by me in the Swagger Inn!
Ev'rything free in the Swagger Inn
For a small fee in The Swagger Inn! .............."

"....Gee, Officer Athos, I'm surely a wench;
We hang out in the Tavern and we're def not a fench.
We ain't no delinquents,
We're misunderstood.
Deep down inside us there is good!........."

MavisGrind · 14/07/2015 13:35

I did a Future Learn course earlier in the year on Hamlet, it was really good. I did see the Richard III one but I've got a busy few weeks coming up so can't commit to anything.

I'm waiting for a man to come and measure some windows. He isn't a HBF which is a shame. Oh well.

morelikeguidelines · 14/07/2015 13:48

Grin at mavis

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 14/07/2015 13:50

Mavis Have you seen the adaptation of Hamlet with David Tennant and Patrick Stewart? It's really very good!

Mouse I didn't know you were a former West Midlander - high five!!

morelikeguidelines · 14/07/2015 13:51

I have always thought Henry VII was very underrated as a king

Hard to imagine a more successful monarch, especially if you include things like leaving an heir (even if that heir was Henry VIII!)

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 14/07/2015 13:52

probably should have washed my hands first as have come (nto/ylt) straight from the dungeon Blush

MavisGrind · 14/07/2015 14:31

I have indeed Liv - tis very good. I also saw DT as Richard II in Stratford. He was very hot good.

Right, I have to go to work now. Window bloke has been. Just need to work out how I can pay for these windows now... Hmm

Laters my lovelies!
