I feel so lazy - only just looking at thread again and am in awe of laundry/revision/power walking/new jobs/cat loving/da birthday prepping/home decorating skills displayed by wenchi. By contrast I cooked, allowed da2 access to the breasts (breastfeeding makes it sound too active) and have slumped in front of the telly rather than tidy, garden or decorate (all stuff on the to do list). And now I'm in bed so nothing more shall be done tonight.

Why is it so hard to knot balloons? What am I doing wrong?

issy, if it makes you feel any better, I suspect I have gone backwards today. I did some laundry, changed one bed, did a small amount of food shopping and posted my ebay sales. On the other hand, I made the DCs clear some shelves in their rooms and now have an enormous pile of crap in the spare room to sort through

I did bribe DS to clean the garden furniture though, so if the weather is nice tomorrow I shall at least be able to sit outside at my (clean) table, from where I cannot see said pile of crap.

Confession: I hate balloons popping, I get really twitchy around over-inflated balloons. My idea of hell is a kids party (well yes, naturally) with a balloon free for all

Thanks for balloon hints Sparks & Fancy I was actually typing with a balloon wrapped round one hand while I typed (multitasking!). they are utterly rubbish balloons as well - if I don't inflate them to the max then they're tiny.

Morning all. DS came in at 6:15 [sleepy emoticon] and is currently playing on the tablet surrounded by a partially built lego set. I have to make a birthday cake now. Though fortunately, this year he's gone for taste over image and just wants a nice sponge cake. Like the one that went wrong last week - did I post a picture of frankencake? It escaped from it's tin while it was cooking. Oh well. Anyway, at least there's no building of Thunderbird-2-as-Cake or Angry-Birds-LevelXX as cake this year (phew!)

Well the last thread pretty much passed me by. I've skimmed this one but not remembered much, except loved the Thorn Birds, hate balloons, gave up on JS&MN after one episode and well done to Anne.

I'm having a facial this afternoon, Sparks, I'll ask my lady what she thinks about the collagen eye masks, though why you think you need them I don't know.

I'm feeling quite motivated as the sun is out, but I doubt either will last very long.
