Bring your steak and guacamole sandwiches and raise a glass of cheeky Chilean red to the hottest musketeer of them all!

Let's play pass the parcel. When the music stops, Team A gets to take off a layer.

Ready...go!

LetUsPrey · 07/05/2015 08:14

Morning wenches.

Extra strength Brew for Comtess

Anne you are not going to fail mmkay? Like other wenches have said, you'll be a bit discombobulated with new job and stuff, so breathe.

Badderz

Going to vote on my way to taking DS2 to my mum's. His school is a voting centre.

Laterz wenches

FancyFancy · 07/05/2015 08:55

Morning everyone. It's actually not raining here, I'm hoping I won't have to play washing hokey-cokey today.

There's something about voting that makes me feel very grown-up. Like a proper adult Grin. It's a bit like parents' evenings at school. You'd think I'd have got past that feeling by now.

How are you feeling now badders & did you get ds2 to school?

Baddz · 07/05/2015 09:28

I'm ok. Ish.
Ds very upset and a teacher had to take him in. I feel like I am failing him. It's been such a rough few years months and he has been so ill.
Sigh.
Don't know what wlse I can do...his urine is clear, bloods ok, scan ok, started him on meds....Wwyd?
On the plus side my diet and exercise regime means I have lost half a stone.
Teeth hurting :(
Pile of ironing to do, one load in the dryer, have just been and voted.
Have a good day wenches x

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2015 09:49

Badders Sad wwid? I would spin in circles getting myself in a right state, so that's of no use to you.

Well done on the 1/2 stone though. I have one load of washing on the line and one in the machine...

Must work though, have done no freelance stuff this week yet other than to look at emails and go 'meh - it can wait/will sort it later'. Not helpful.

Baddz · 07/05/2015 09:52

I am doing that all on my own helen! Smile
I really need to start the ironing...

IssyStark · 07/05/2015 09:55

Morning all! Have you voted yet?

(I haven't but plan to later, Dr Issy did about 8-ish while I was dc-wrangling)

Just caught up on threads since Monday. Things that my tiny, tired brain noted:

  1. rar on job madam
  2. rar on plate and ability to pick out good house porn ww
  3. rar on handmade baking apes

Am off work today as ds1's school is a polling station. We're off to see a kid screening of Big hero 6 in a few minutes (talked him out of home at full price of £17 for both of us instead of less than £4 for both of us). Then we have an afternoon of sorting out toys, wrapping and posting presents. Possibly a nicer day than he deserves.

Ds1 is rather in the doghouse after I got a call from his headmaster yesterday - he'd taken a fiver into school and swapped it for a single Match Attacks card. Thankfully the school realised what had happened and sorted it all out and I think the Yr 6 boy whose card it was had a talking to as well. Ds1 is yr 3 but even so should have known better. We had a Big Talk yesterday about money, value of things and how if mum and dad say you can't buy cards on the way home as you bought some the day before, that does not mean you take even more money to school and buy even fewer cards than come in a pack. We'd only just swapped from weekly pocket money to a monthly allowance this month and he'd been really proud and had been budgeting for his favourite magazine etc and then this. We've taken control of all his pocket money and told him he can only have it back when we think he can be trusted not to waste it/be conned etc. In went in one ear and out the other as this morning, he asked if he could buy some cards today!!!!! Argh!!!!

IssyStark · 07/05/2015 10:00

bads congrats on the 1/2 stone loss. Commiserations on still no answers on ds2. You said he eats lots of fruit, could it be as simple as too much fruit? (had friend who constantly had stomach cramps, tried many elimination diets, had loads of tests etc, eventually doctors realised it was a reaction to all the medicine he'd been taking for dealing with stomach cramps).

On laundry front on load in machine and another lined up. Have piles of ironing to do but no plans on doing it until this evening. Might do it while up watching election coverage. Have mixed up our Christmas puddings and plan to steam them tonight while I'm up into the small hours - they should have matured nicely by December. Given I know I'll stay awake (I always do, bit of an election junkie), I might as well make good use of my time.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2015 10:10

Christmas pud?

Issy, I know what you mean about in one ear and out the other - DS is yr2 and I could swear we've had a sensible conversation with him and then the next day it's as if it hadn't happened. We've just given into his campaign for weekly pocket money. His brain-kryptonite is lego minifigures.

think the second load of washing has just finished.

IssyStark · 07/05/2015 10:38

helen my organisational powers are pretty crap but for the past few years I've never been able to find baby wine in early autumn so this year I actually bought some just after Xmas while the local Camra listed offie still had their winter seasonal a in. Came across it again at the weekend and thought, why not just do the puds early?

Baddz · 07/05/2015 10:49

Watching election wipe on iplayer Smile
Done most of the ironing
Sat here feeling sick re ds
So hard to see him so anxious and upset

Enormouse · 07/05/2015 11:43

Oh badders it's so hard not knowing whats going on.

issy I've actually started buying Christmas presents and storing them away. Boys have their Christmas pjs and lego I picked up in the sale at asda. As well as some minion stocking fillers. Mr M thinks I'm insane.

Have to pop out for preschool committee meeting and to vote, but I'll rtft when I get back.

Xx

LiviaDruscillaAugusta · 07/05/2015 11:51

Morning lovely wenches!

Having been struggling to get onto the threads for some reason but this seems okay so trying to catch up.

Baddz Huge hugs to you and DS.

^ How is life on Team Aramis and only Team Aramis, don't even think of looking at Luca, he's mine and the Cardinal's

Hope all other wenches are as lovely and fab as ever!

Finally got round to getting the series 2 DVD last week - problem is that I keep sniggering when they said that the Cardinal's heart gave out - we all know it was both of his cocks!

Short working this week - I finish tonight and have tomorrow off - yay!

Baddz · 07/05/2015 12:06

Thank you for hugs Smile
I have got my 2 their xmas jumpers already
It's ds1s b day next month (12!!) and he,dh and fil are off to Stockholm in August for his b day trip.
Must think of some stuff for ds2 and I to do

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2015 12:34

Too organised, the lot of you Grin Saying that, I'm thinking of buying DS a lego set for Christmas because it's on offer....

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2015 12:35

Can't you make your own little trip to Stockholm?

Baddz · 07/05/2015 12:56

Don't fucking tempt me!
The way I feel today I could get on a plane right now Hmm

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2015 13:42

Doooo iiiiiit

FancyFancy · 07/05/2015 14:00

Afternoon. Have voted - tactically - for all the good it will do in this constituency. But it makes me happy and may help stop UKIP from coming second here. We have local elections here too - depressingly there were only three candidates and you cold vote for two, 2 were from the same party who are likely to be returned. I wonder if all the other parties decided against splitting the vote?

Sorry you're still feeling rotten badders & that your DS was upset again

Have given up on putting washing out

You can't monopolise two of them you greedy mare Grin Dog needs time to recover & I need to keep my hand in so to speak. Anyhow he's all yours tonight as it's Thursday & I think that means I get to share with madame Confused

madame - are we planning an Election Night Special? Aramis certainly gets my vote, I bet he has a huge majority

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2015 14:06

Slight washing fail here - the heavens opened on my mostly dry washing Angry so it's now drying out again on the airers inside. Plus I took the towel out and it got caught on the seal and covered in gunk. Yuck.

I'm hungry and I'm having some lunch now. Taking DS to dentist and then shopping after School....

laters

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2015 14:11

We have seriously schizo weather here, one minute it's sunny and the next it's pouring down, and now it's sunny again. MAKE YOUR MIND UP STUPID WEATHER Angry

Baddz · 07/05/2015 14:12

Same here WW

FancyFancy · 07/05/2015 14:24

The weather is taunting me too - it's quite & breezy here, but I know a cloud will arrive soon Angry

IssyStark · 07/05/2015 14:50

barley wine not bloody baby wine (that's something entirely different!)

It's perfect drying weather

bads hugs

We've decluttered some of the kipple in the toy room but made very small inroads. they have too many toys, although if I've managed to have them closer than 5 years, then I would at least be able to get rid of some of the younger stuff. Off to vote once ds had finished his homework and then we will do another civic duty and call in at the community run cafe for some cake. It's a hard life being a committed member of the local community Grin
