Just a fruit cake apricot? Homemade fruit cake is delicious - I bet yours is very tasty. No-one else in my house likes it so I very rarely make it.

Eve's pudding is sliced apple topped with a sponge-type mixture & baked. I have a lovely recipe that uses ground almonds in place of some of the flour. Yum!

The house that I grew up in had an apple tree in the garden that in alternate years produced fuck all or more apples than we could eat all winter, even after giving half of them away. For those years we ate a constant supply of apple-based puddings and a lot of roast pork on Sundays!

Not much to report here - went to ex-stepFIL funeral today which was, well, a funeral. Nice service though. I am now enjoying a wispa gold and a cup of tea and contemplating an early night. How truly thrilling my life is!
