Dont know why but Ive got an inexplicable craving for sausage for breakfast this morning cinn.

I have been very remiss in my lack of Tav activity and I hope my fellow wenches will forgive me. Have sort of caught up this morning while drinking tea and deciding how important it is to load washing machine !

Well, toddlermouse is feeling worse today - has a wheezy cough and looks really pale. So he's off preschool and we're watching despicable me on the sofa together. He was covering his ears and looking really pained whenever babymouse did one of his super loud shouts so Mr M has taken him out to Belfast with him today. Thank God. Luckily babymouse is almost completely recovered.

I think we're just going to eat cereal and watch films.

Weather: South Coast humid and overcast, wind picking up

Activity levels: zero due to ds2 getting up for 1.5h at 2.30am and couldn't be convinced to go back to sleep. And yet I'm in work. Need tea (with sugar!)

Laundry: none in, none out, about two loads to put away and a load to put on this evening

Politics: Farage - self serving git (wouldn't accept his resignation my arse); Galloway - self-deluding twat of the first order; Jo Johnson - how the hell did we manage to get him as Science and Universities minister? Boris minor abso-fucking-lately wonderful.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do with a wheezy cough? I've dealt with dry coughs and regular coughs before but this is something new. I've calpoled him up and put him to bed but I'm really at a loss with what to do. I assume it's the same viral thing that he went to the drs for.

poor toddlermouse. Mine was really ill at the weekend. We actually wondered about a&e, he didn't need to go thankfully in the end and is back to normal now, causing lots of mess that I've JUST SORTED.

He's still going, bless him. No trouble breathing but just an awful wheezy chest.

I'll try the humidifying trick with a bowl of vaporub in water (that used to work with dry coughs) and I'll give him a hot bath tonight.
And drs tomorrow if no improvement. I'm trying to persuade him to have a warm drink with little success.

He's overjoyed as its bin lorry day.

It's our bin lorry day today too. Ds2 was complaining of a sore throat and cough this morning (he coughed twice) so I gave him some calpol and sent him in.
Chicken pox is running rife in his class atm so wouldnt be surprised if he comes down with that next!
Am going to have a hot bath soon, and try and warm up.

Glad TM has something to help take his mind off unwellness, poor thing.

Ds2 rarely see our binmen but as our bin day had been postponed from Friday to Sat due to the previous BH, he was in his element and followed the lorry all the way around out our loop of the road.

Re - chicken pox. I've never had it so if the boys come down with it Mr M will have to look after them solo and I'm going to stay in a hotel . I can't wait.

Re politics:
Farage is a self serving twat and hopefully he has just shown that to everyone who voted for him because they thought he was "different".
Galloway lost the plot years ago and hopefully will never ever be heard of again.
BoJo amuses me on Have I Got News For You but the prospect of him having a cabinet role (or worse) makes me shudder.
Gove is a cretin and possibly the worst of all candidates for Justice Minister, thereby proving the Tories true colours.
Alistair Campbell? Oh yes, I so very much WOULD.

In other exciting me news the laundry is on it's second load. The big sofa cover has come out slightly patchy from it's dye job and will need to be done again (FMSC) and the tea urn has arrived. It is being tested as I type. See how exciting my life is?
