Bads as other sad, the Scottish vote is a pro-independence vote it is an anti-Tory/LibDem vote (although I was gutted for Charles Kennedy, but really Clegg et al should have known this would be the outcome as LD voters are more left-wing than the parliamentary party) and an anti-complacent Labour vote. Labour has treat Scotland as a milch cow for MPs for decades and they really should have paid more attention. Think of it as a more palatable version of the UKIP protest vote.

I also hate the Labour Party of May2005-Dec2005 as they didn't play enough attention to how the Coalition were spinning the global banking crisis into a 'Labour spent too much' story and it has completely come back to bite them (and us) on the bum.

Popped out, went to Costa (and surprised DrIssy with an espresso and lemon tart, but he was with a student so no marital chit chat, such devotion to his student is, I suppose, why he won the teaching excellence award last night). Walked back into library thinking I was holding up well and there was only an hour of work left. Boasted about it to colleague who then pointed out it was 3 not 4. Maybe not holding up so well afterall.

DS2 got a Governor's Award today at school for his work on the Student Council. Bearing in mind he barely spoke to anyone bar his teacher and a couple of friends up to partway through Y2, I'm rather proud of him!
