OK... TV is great. I was right to get the smaller one - 32" instead of the 40" I had. Nice quality picture. Sound is not quite as good but good enough.
However - (why can my life not just be simple) - need to pop back to Curry's as the man - sorry - little boy - they sent along who was supposed to fit everything up has told me that basically I will have to either not have my SKY box connected or buy a new DVD player because they can't both be connected at the same time. Apparently I need to buy one with an HDML socket instead of scart socket as the TV only has one scart socket and both the SKY box and the DVD are scart connections.
He tells me there is no such thing as a scart to HDML adaptor.
BOLLOCKS! They sell the fuckers on Amazon.
Having paid £45 them to have set everything up for me, Curry's can give me one free of charge for the fucking inconvenience of my having to walk back down to their store to complain at having been ripped off to the tune of £45 for a service I didn't fully receive. Did I mention I paid £45 of my hard earned pounds already?
So I either have the SKY box connected or the DVD or - according to fucking master technician who is clearly only just over nappy rash and may have finished teething - "Ya could just plug in the SKY box when you wanna watch the TV and swap them when you wanna watch a DVD. Sorry 'bout that love. Can I use ya toilet?"
I paid £45 - I may have mentioned that part before - for the privelige of having a spotty little oik tell me I have to get behind the TV to change the scart leads over depending on whether I want to watch TV or or a DVD. The alternative being to throw away a perfectly acceptable piece of equipment which works very well.
I think not!
Oh... did I also mention I had to pay a separate charge of £21 to have it delivered in the first place by the two guys who were incapable of leaving everything working for the other £45 - total spend for a DIY/CHANGE IT OVER YOURSELF LUV DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT TO WATCH installation - £66.00
But I'm not angry!
