Sparks if you need rescuing from Westfield, text me Grin

FolknNorah · 22/11/2014 12:51

I'd go with 'santibaby' tbh as all you'll get is, 'what does the c mean?' Grin

And who were/are you? Shock Grin

Cinnamoncookie · 22/11/2014 12:52

Yes, who is SantiBaby ? I thought it was Sparkle trying on another name

Still in pyjamas here, though I have been working since the postman woke me up at 8.30am. (By knocking on my front door to deliver a parcel. Not because I was in bed with him).

Please indulge my curiousity, wenches - how do you all have so much laundry to do ? I know there's only one of me, but I do perhaps an average of 3 loads in 2 weeks. And I'm pretty sure I don't smell Hmm. Or is this going to end up being one of those MN discussions where some people have a fresh towel every day and think those who don't are disgusting slatterns, and those who wash towels once a week think the daily-towel people are wasteful ...

LetUsPrey · 22/11/2014 12:58

It was me! I might try something else.

Love the Star Wars decorations!

LetUsPrey4Musketeers4Xmas · 22/11/2014 13:05

What about this one?

Washing consists of school uniforms, martial arts stuff, gym/exercise stuff, work things for me and DH, lots of pants and socks (and on this aspect I'm sure I'm doing the whole street's), bedding, towels. Mostly mine gets done at the weekend, with the occasional one or two during the week.

SantisLittleHelper · 22/11/2014 13:06

I knew it was you LetUs Hmm

Badvocinapeartree · 22/11/2014 13:07

I have a Dh and 2 filth wizards dc.
So each week I have at lest
One load of bedding
Towels and hand towels (one use for towels here as Dh and ds1 have excema)
School uniforms x 3 lots each (so x6)
Dhs work shirts
My clothes
Underwear
Then added stuff like cushion covers, tea towels, microfibre cloths, coats etc)
I wash every day :(

SantisLittleHelper · 22/11/2014 13:09

I do 2 a day, more at weekends. But then I'm washing for 7 for 5 days a week. I have 20 work/school shirts a week alone!

SantisLittleHelper · 22/11/2014 13:12

Team Aramis have got this Christmas name thing made haven't we?

SANTI PLEASE STOP HERE

IntheBleakMiladyBeeeWinter · 22/11/2014 13:13

It's just maths Cin. There are 4 of us, so your 1.5 load a week becomes 6 here. Add into that the fact that 2 of the 4 are children (especially a grubby 5 year old DS) and you get even more. I do about 5-7 loads a week depending on how muddy DS is. Add in visiting parents etc (towels, bedding..) and its washing hell.

Thank god I wasn't about in the 1950s. As much as I like the idea of the glamour (a la The Hour) I suspect I'd have been more Hilda Ogden with housecoat, baffies and a mangle.

LetUs how about SecretSanti or SantiBaby? And arf at the fact my autocorrect knows that Santi = Santiago.

Anyone considering Christmas shopping on a Saturday from now on is proper bonkers. Online is the way to go.

IntheBleakMiladyBeeeWinter · 22/11/2014 13:15

Grin at washing x-posts. We do like a good washing chat on here.

SantiPleaseStopHere · 22/11/2014 13:22

Sparkle, you genius! Should I use this one?

We're watching How To Train Your Dragon 2 again. "You're as beautiful as the day I lost you"

SantisLittleHelper · 22/11/2014 13:30

Ok wenches, I need help & I just CANNOT ask any of the DSes with this one!

How do I change this from an A to an I? I want to change my Twitter pic Grin

Oh, god.
I love that film...the bit where you know what happens!....I was crying in the cinema! (My lovely late dad wanted a viking funeral :))
Have got it for ds2 for Xmas.
Brave is now available on Netflix....any good?

SantiPleaseStopHere · 22/11/2014 13:39

No idea Sparkle, but excellent plan

That bit's just happened/about to happen. Makes me well up too.

I loved Brave. Seen that a few times too.

Cinnamoncookie · 22/11/2014 14:29

MavisGrind · 22/11/2014 14:33

I don't appear to have done any washing yet this weekend

MavisGrind · 22/11/2014 14:34

Cinn - that's brilliant!

GoodQueenWenchAnneLass · 22/11/2014 14:36

LetUs is that you????

SantiPleaseStopHere · 22/11/2014 14:37

Sparkle, look what Cinnamon's done! That's brilliant! I am proper impressed.

Mavis - our house is a tip too Blush

SantiPleaseStopHere · 22/11/2014 14:39

Yep. It's me. Due to a stunning lack of NC imagination, I took inspiration from Sparkle's post.

TheSwedishChristmasMeatball · 22/11/2014 14:49

What snow Mouse? Grin

Been running from shop to shop trying to find 1 gift, thank God I don't have that many to shop for, it's exhausting!

Then I did some major food shopping, made a really late lunch and now I'm sitting on my couch, drinking coffee and trying to cure a massive headache.

Oh and my house looks like a dump too, bloody cats Grin

Badvocinapeartree · 22/11/2014 14:57

Well done cin!
