Having re-read The Half Blood Prince last week, I think he is on the right side, but no-one agrees with me! Anyone else sad enough to have an opinion on this?

OP posts:
firemaiden · 05/11/2006 13:45

MoM, JK Rowling says it is not Petunia on her website. Could it be Dudley ?

firemaiden · 05/11/2006 14:00

PS anyone know how you can get a student id no for the website if you didn't do the wombat first time round? Seems a bit hard if you missed it then, never to be allowed to have a go at future wombats.

PPS Gorgeous Sirius, gay? Shirley you can't be sirious?

dewmeadow · 08/11/2006 09:13

RE - is Snape a baddie? In GoF, when the Deatheaters are coming back to Volty, he says three are missing - one is a true supporter - Crouch's son - one is too scared - Karkaroff - and one is gone forever and will be killed - has to be Snape. What do you make of that then?

(Sorry if already mentioned)

Still havent found any gay references for Sirius. Stretching it - when in the hot country, he sent HArry that big gay bird instead of the owl. On the other hand, he transfigures into a big manly dog (butch?) and he dresses in raggedy clothes - surely no gay bloke would allow himself to be seen in such a bad outfit on so many occasions!!

dewmeadow · 08/11/2006 09:14

FireM - I think I read on the website that there would be another round of exams and another opportunity to get a number. I want to join in too!!

WhizzBangCaligula · 08/11/2006 10:05

LOL at magic pants and big gay bird.

Rosybumpily · 08/11/2006 11:21

Dew

Good one about the three missing deatheaters. It would make sense for V to turn on Snape, that would prove to Harry etc of Snapes innocence.

Well I won't be doing anymore exams, when I did it I was hopeless, it was too hard and then I couldn't retreive my results as must have taken my number down wrong so I can't be bothered! (humph)

WhizzBangCaligula · 08/11/2006 11:23

I thought it might be Karkoroff who's gone forever and will be killed and Snape who is considered too scared?

dreamcatcher · 08/11/2006 14:38

I think it's high time that JKR published a comprehensive encyclopedia listing all histories/relevent conversations and storyline details complete with a cross referencing.

Oooh, and a novelty gift.

dewmeadow · 08/11/2006 18:13

perhaps Whizz, but then KArkaroff did a runner and he was so wetting his pants the whole of GoF.

dewmeadow · 08/11/2006 18:14

forgot to say Dreamy - what a book!! I would like that too!

WhizzBangCaligula · 08/11/2006 19:02

Hmm yes and maybe Voldemort was using Snape to get to DD/ harry, knowing he may be spying on him...

dewmeadow · 09/11/2006 09:15

Remember when HArry told DD about Volt using his blood so that he was immune to H's mum's magic? WHat do you think the significance is of the possible look of triumph in DD's eyes? It HAS to be a clue, otherwise why mention it?!!!!

WhizzBangCaligula · 09/11/2006 09:48

It's got to be something to do with Voldemort weakening himself by using Harry's blood, hasn't it?

Although the blood enabled him to re-corporealise himself (if that's a word) by using Harry's particularly, it must give Harry some kind of power over him too?

Ooh I'm such a saddo, I can't wait to find out!

Bucketsofburntdinosaurs · 09/11/2006 09:53

LOL at gay bird. Perhaps he was prison-'straightened' as opposed to prison-bent and these gay birds are just habit left over from his glory days.m Or then again maybe he was just boarding-school-bent and grew out of it?

FillyjonkTheFireEater · 09/11/2006 09:55

Agree

this must happen

actually it probably will. She has all this stuff. I can't imagine it won't every be publisjed. Tolkein's was, as I recall?

sassy · 09/11/2006 09:56

at buckets'suggestion of buggery in the Hogwarts dorm!

(NOT in Gryfindor, surely? Maybe Slytherin, I suppose...)

MerlinsBeard · 09/11/2006 09:59

dewmeadow, the look of satisfaction i already mentioned further down (its alooooong trhead!) is, to me, because she was half blood and V doesn't like taht. DD was happy because a half blood had fooled V.

If taht makes sense!

I must have missed the bit about petunia! i had just read that she wasn't a squib!

FillyjonkTheFireEater · 09/11/2006 10:05

isn't griffindor all about adventure though?

it'll be just the boring hufflepuffs that are straight

griffindor will be bisexual and interesting

now off to resumine laminating.

Rosybumpily · 09/11/2006 10:13

Yeah I read she wasn't a squib and concluded that she was magic. Though apparently jk says not somewhere?? There are loose ends with Petunia though.

Being obsessed with the Harry the horcrux idea, I think DD's look of triumph is connected to that somehow....

But also the whole thing of V being in awe of Harry's mothers love puts Harry at an advantage I think.

WhizzBangCaligula · 09/11/2006 10:15

Griffindor isn't so much about adventure as courage.

But Voldy himself is a half-blood (muggle father, Tom Riddle)

Bucketsofburntdinosaurs · 09/11/2006 11:13

And obviously the Slytherins are all inbred and incestuous, Ravenclaw are too swotty to get any, Hufflepuff too ugly so yes Griffindor are the intrepid bi-curious experimenters.

WhizzBangCaligula · 09/11/2006 11:14

Hufflepuff aren't ugly! Cedric Diggory is gorgeous...

doggiesayswoof · 09/11/2006 12:17

Catching up catching up...
Sirius is so gay. Definitely.

  • not interested in girls
  • but v good-looking and show offy (when young)
  • big gay bird messenger
  • black dog - well he is the butch gay type obviously
  • riding a hippogriff? camp as christmas
  • I'm sure he has lots of camp gestures like running his hands through his hair, and throwing himself onto chairs, does he not? Or maybe I have just invented that bit.
Bucketsofburntdinosaurs · 09/11/2006 14:11
  • riding a hippogriff? camp as christmas

Just spat out my coffee over the keyboard

WhizzBangCaligula · 09/11/2006 14:31

ROFL at that succinct appraisal of Sirius' sexuality!
