I have just heard in the radio that some mothesr have been boycoting a schools healthy food initiative.

They have been taking orders from the kids, going to the local chippy, and taking food trollys of junk food round to the children at lunch time.

Oh FFS!

Taking out of the equation those small numbers of children who have special needs issues with food, what the fuck do these women think that they are doing?

How do they think this will help the children or the school?

I thought it said on the radio that they stand in a graveyard on the other side of the fence from the school.

Blu · 15/09/2006 20:46

This gets more fantastic.

Blu · 15/09/2006 20:51

They told the Guardian:
"Children are locked up like caged animals inside there, starving all day."

Blandmum · 15/09/2006 20:52

All because of healthy food and giving the kids two 30 ,minute breaks, rather than one 15 and one 45 min break

IMO they are scared that their kids will actually start to like healthy food and then they will be forced to cook it for them.

sorrell · 15/09/2006 20:55

On radio 5 today the woman (utter obvious moron and fuckwit) admitted she took the chips in a stolen supermarket trolley. You just couldn't make it up...Poor bloody Jamie. Poor bloody kids.

Blandmum · 15/09/2006 20:55

These women remind me of a group of mothers who, when I was at secondary school 'ttok over' a classroom, where they 'taught' their kids who had not got into the school, but were sent to the next comprehensive. the protest went on for the better part of the year, the school gave in and the kids were given places.

From that day on the kids were hardly ever in bloody school!

They just decided to be bloody minded about it

Some utter fuckwit aged chav said 'its a concentration camp in there'. Made me want to pull him out of my radio by his throat and experiment on his genitals.

Blu · 15/09/2006 20:57

This is what Hunker says about it on another thread:

"This is what happens when schools take it too seriously and women get all bothersome and bosomy and elbows out and mouth-like-trap about it all."

Classic.

Heathcliffscathy · 15/09/2006 20:58

chips (if that means potatoes fried in sunflower oil....erm...and i'm not sure it does) are not so bad.

this is obviously some kind of stunt....right?????

Blandmum · 15/09/2006 20:59

Once a week it isn't an issue, but these morons are taking stuff in every day because 'The kids have a right to chose what they want'

MY ARSE!

sorrell · 15/09/2006 20:59

Sunflower oil??? Splutter!! Sophable, have you ever been to a Yorkshire chippy??

Heathcliffscathy · 15/09/2006 20:59

oh god that hunker quote is the one of the week surely????

hunkermunker · 15/09/2006 21:07

Here they are, in a good mood

hulababy · 15/09/2006 21:08

I went to a Yorkshire chippy last night - no chance those chips were healthy!!!

Lilymaid · 15/09/2006 21:09

Amazingly the school is a designated Sports College and makes much of "active lunchtimes" - i.e. run to fence and back and pull chips through the mesh (obviously some new type of obstacle race)

Cappuccino · 15/09/2006 21:13

oh yes cos fish and chip shops in the rest of the country over are just super-healthy

does anyone actually have any figures on the proportion of Yorkshire chippies who use sunflower oil compared to those nationally, or are we just all being a bit 'those northerners all eat dripping' about this

hunkermunker · 15/09/2006 21:15

And here are some of their ilk, eating

sorrell · 15/09/2006 21:16

Er, you have no idea where people are posting from, do you? The point is these women are from Yorkshire. Which is why the references to Yorkshire chippies are appropriate. And if you know one that uses fresh sunflower oil....

3andnomore · 15/09/2006 21:16

To the OP...
those woman are just completely STOOOOOOOOOOOOPID! They need education not their Kids, sigh!

hulababy · 15/09/2006 21:16

The oil they use is veggie is most now. So not lard or dripping anymore. Still fried chip shop chips still aren't going be healthy are they?!

sorrell · 15/09/2006 21:17

Anyway, if anyone is giving Yorkshire a bad name, it's those moronic hags.

Blandmum · 15/09/2006 21:17

I don't think that anyone thinks that dripping is the issue.

The issue is more that children should be eating freid foods every day.

The schools try to do something about it and these daft woen try to wreck it all.

I don't think the Northern thing is the key either, this could easily happen anywhere in the UK, because mose places have some fuckwit parents

sorrell · 15/09/2006 21:19

Yeah, dahn sarf they'd be pushing KFC throught the gates...

hulababy · 15/09/2006 21:20

On the JO programme down south I think it was McDonalds!
