Mothers buy chips to get around schools healthy eating

I have just heard in the radio that some mothesr have been boycoting a schools healthy food initiative.

They have been taking orders from the kids, going to the local chippy, and taking food trollys of junk food round to the children at lunch time.

Oh FFS!

Taking out of the equation those small numbers of children who have special needs issues with food, what the fuck do these women think that they are doing?

How do they think this will help the children or the school?

The thing is that the school will still be serving chips around once a week. What these idiot women are saying is that kids should be allowed to have chips every day, if they wish.

And being kids, they will wish! And they will also wish for no home work, and late nights watching unsuitable things on TV, and booze and very possibly fags, but being kids they need to be guided.

So the schools bring is better food, and this is how some parents respond. It makes me weak!

Just heard one of the mothers on Radio 4 and it's not quite as daft as it appears. She says the school only allows the children half an hour for lunch but has massive queues so they actually don't get enough time to eat the food.

Yes, the half hour thing does sound odd. I have never known a lunch break so short.

Still don't think it justifies them bring in rubbish for the kids to eat, and they were commenting on the food offered, not just the timing.

They should tackle the school about the length of the lunch break. Mond you, bet the kids will then complain they have to stay at schoolt ill later in the afternoon!

An aside - I don't get why everyone includes pizza in the junk food camp. My kids eat it quite often - it's bread, cheese, tomato puree and vegetables, isn't it? That's not junk!

And about the "they only have half an hour to eat their lunch" - why can't these harbingers of filth load up their shopping trolley with something decent? It's not the point at all. They're doing it, belligerently, because they don't want to have to admit that their own diet and the diet they provide to their children is wank. End of.

I am not a food facist in any shape or form but I do srongly believe that children need to be educated in the ways of healthy eating. This story astonished me and actually made me really angry.
Stupid chip eating ignorant fuckers.
It's not just undermining all the hard work that schools have put in to work on their school dinners but its undermining the whole ethos of school FFS.
It has really annoyed me.
Gggrrr.
