I have. It's like the theory test - you study hard and then it's a piece of p*ss.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 11/09/2006 09:36

Did you take yours at the testing centre in Edinburgh?

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 11/09/2006 10:18

trinityshiftingherleatheryarse · 11/09/2006 10:19

what is it??

purplemonkeydishwasher · 11/09/2006 10:28

It's the test you have to take to apply for your citizenship.

admylin · 11/09/2006 10:30

They are trying to introduce this to Germany and it has been really critisised because apparantly not even the germans get full marks!

NotActuallyAMum · 11/09/2006 10:34

You can take a free sample test on this site

alexsmum · 11/09/2006 10:38

wow-those questions are tough! what percentage of the population are under 19???? lol!

suzywong · 11/09/2006 10:39

Ahem!
Q3 " Where is the Scouse dialects spoken?"

OUTRAGEOUS!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 11/09/2006 15:37

I've shown the book to some of my friends and very few know the stuff they ask!

Mercy · 11/09/2006 15:54

Purplemonkey - where are you from originally?

btw I've just done the sample test and failed! I only got 60%

iPodthereforiPoor · 11/09/2006 16:06

I failed too!! with 60% - on votes for women and under 19's Q.

SparklyGothKat · 11/09/2006 16:10

I failed it too, with 0% lol

JessaJam · 11/09/2006 16:14

I passed with 80%! Got the EU regulation one wrong. Guessed the 19 year olds one.
Am "already" a brit though.

alexsmum · 11/09/2006 16:14

i passed (proud emotion)

JessaJam · 11/09/2006 16:15

The votes for women one was a bit of an educated guess - cast mind back to GCSE History!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 11/09/2006 16:21

Mercy - I'm Canadian. Originally from Winnipeg. But have been living here for nearly 5 years. And before that I was in Calgary.

Jackstini · 11/09/2006 16:23

Failed - got 2 wrong It would be interesting to see how mnay Britons actually pass...!

cori · 11/09/2006 16:34

5 out of 5 here. Guess I can take the test for real now.

trinityshiftingherleatheryarse · 11/09/2006 16:35

I got 2 right, oh dear

lemonaid · 11/09/2006 16:55

Oooh, I got 5 out of 5 right. I guess I can stay (already a citizen anyway, though). Still, nice to know that there will be some people out there who know this stuff... even if they are all recent immigrants!

I failed. I thought that the last one was a bit dodgy. I am studying law and I have to write whole essays on whether or not it overides UK law! It isn't really that straightforward.

ohanaleavingStitchonherown · 11/09/2006 17:29

failed, miserably.
only got two right. the queen, and the EU one.
will they boot me out?

hoohoo · 11/09/2006 17:39

OMG i got 100% i was totally guessing was expecting to fail!
