In my fridge (US style fridge freezer) there is a clear perspex box

it has sides and a front, but a dip in a front .. it is the entire depth of the fridge but only about 8" high .. it has a ridged bottom

it does not fit cans of drink .. well it would fit one on its end but not wide enough for 2

it is not shaped for eggs

it is not a bottle holder

WTF is it??

not read all the thread buit looks like its for meat from deli counters, you know, all packed nicely. things like ham with black pepper rind and all that

SpaceCadet · 02/09/2006 14:24

yep..definitely barking, my theory would be cans of coke, beer etc.

Definately barking Twiglett. Use it for cans!

marthamoo · 02/09/2006 14:24

Doesn't the can fit lying down? Can't be for eggs - if it was more full than a single layer on the bottom they woudld fall out.

I really needed this thread this afternoon.

You could use it as a toboggan for a guinea pig.

Serah · 02/09/2006 14:25

But.. it does contain an egg, so by definition it is an egg container.....

SoupDragon · 02/09/2006 14:25

pmsl * Marthamoo - no, it is precisely the same mm dimensions as the one inthe diagram

I am so glad DH isn't here to see me taking photos of eggs in my fridge...

SoupDragon · 02/09/2006 14:26

I wouldn't want to use it for eggs, they would break.

marthamoo · 02/09/2006 14:27

Those eggs do not look happy in there.

SpaceCadet · 02/09/2006 14:27

..i dont know what to say..im laughing too much.

it is SO not an egg container

SoupDragon · 02/09/2006 14:27

Snort! I've never noticed the "wine self" Sobernow We've not got one - we have a whole separate drinks fridge.

marthamoo · 02/09/2006 14:28

She's got them glued together.

Serah · 02/09/2006 14:28

Why would the eggs break? (Unless you tip your fridge from side to side that is??)

SoupDragon · 02/09/2006 14:28

Careful balancing, Sobernow

Pixel · 02/09/2006 14:29

Perhaps it's for hard-boiled eggs.

Twiglett · 02/09/2006 14:29

it only has an egg in it to prove what a useless egg container it would make

the can does not fit on its side .. although that WOULD be a good use for it I feel

soupy .. why does yours look nicer than mine?
