OK ... I've had this Fridge for years and I have to ask wtf is it?

In my fridge (US style fridge freezer) there is a clear perspex box

it has sides and a front, but a dip in a front .. it is the entire depth of the fridge but only about 8" high .. it has a ridged bottom

it does not fit cans of drink .. well it would fit one on its end but not wide enough for 2

it is not shaped for eggs

it is not a bottle holder

WTF is it??

if soupy says its an egg box I'll have to accept it .. but it don't look like one to me

If your talking about the bit with your garlic in it, that looks the same shape as my salad box thingy!

Soupdragon, that thing inthe diagram is a n egg container - has little spaces for the eggs. That is not what twiglett's container is!

I seem to remember when I was in America, there were box things in the fridge that you'd put cans (ie of coke) into and then it would "dispense" them (ie as you took one out the next would roll along.

so, one is supposed to empty eggs into it .. and pile them on top of each other

its feckin' huge ... how many eggs can an american family eat?

It is what Twiglett'' container is as I'm fairly certain we have the same fridge! It doesn't have little spaces for eggs at all - look at the picture, they're all piled in.

You take them out one by one andplace them in the box I guess. I have a sneaky suspicion that eggs might not be boxed the same inthe US? Bigger boxes? Trays? Can't remember!

Twig, why don't you just take it out and chuck it? That's what I did with the wine glass holder plastic doodah in my dishwasher because I don't put my wine glasses in the dishwasher.

I meant proportionally to the size of the fridge in the diagram - not is it teensy weensy only small enough for fish eggs kindathing?
