council workers are outside the house scrubbing blood off the pavement outside the Trisha house and further up the road with lashings of bleach!

xh saw at least two people being put in an ambulance when he attempted to pick the children up earlier - word is it was a stabbing

Colchester a bit rough then sm ?

marthamoo · 19/03/2004 16:33

Kind of embarrassed to say I have no idea where Colchester is.

marthamoo · 19/03/2004 16:33

I believe you have a cathederal though?

spacemonkey · 19/03/2004 16:34

It's in Essex mm

No cathedral, but we have a castle (I live right next to it)

It's the oldest recorded town in england

I think I spelled that wrong. The big church word.

marthamoo · 19/03/2004 16:36

Perhaps I'm thinking of Canterbury Geography never was my strong point. One of my best friends from Uni used to work at Stansted Airport, she lives in Bishop's Stortford. Just throwing "daaan saaf" names at you now.

marthamoo · 19/03/2004 16:37

How cool to live next to a castle. ds1 would love that.

spacemonkey · 19/03/2004 16:39

it is cool living next to the castle, yes!

stansted is about 40 mins drive from here

colchester is in north essex, near the suffolk border, it's not noted for being a particularly rough place either although we have our fair share of white trash

I am being so good. I have not mentioned Essex girls or white stilettos.

Ooops.

Spacemonkey!

Didn't realise you were in Colchester! I am a Colchester girl - born and bred - but I am currently (for last 14 years) residing in that lovely town(!!) that is Clacton on Sea

Hulababy · 19/03/2004 16:45

So exciting SM! Keep us posted.

spacemonkey · 19/03/2004 16:46

OMG slinky, i didn't know this!

what school did you go to? what years? do i already know you?

OP posts:
Northerner · 19/03/2004 16:47

I'm intrigued now at just how close you are to that castle SM. Whe you say next door, do you mean like really next door, like you peer over your garden fence, and there's a castle!

lydialemon · 19/03/2004 16:48

Colchester is 'posh' Essex. My sister used to run a pub in Romford/Hornchurch, now that was rough!

spacemonkey · 19/03/2004 16:49

Pretty much, northerner! The castle walls are about 100 yards from my front door.

When I got this house I thought it was a posh area of town - how wrong could I be?! My neighbours are a mixture of loony old people and trisha guests

OP posts:
spacemonkey · 19/03/2004 16:50

i was born in hornchurch

Spacemonkey!

I left school in 1987 - school was TLA - bit rough but managed to produce a little gem like me

Where did you go????

Northerner · 19/03/2004 16:51

My Mums hairdresser has been on Trisha. It was last year. Her boyfriend was having a fling with her mother and they were both preg with his child. She is WT.

Slinky · 19/03/2004 16:51

I'll keep looking in on this post - I've got to dash - my Pasta Bake is burning and DD1 is supposed to be going to Brownies at 5.25pm!

spacemonkey · 19/03/2004 16:52

i was at the Gilberd when it was on North Hill, left in 1984

OP posts:
Freckle · 19/03/2004 16:53

Camulodunum - Latin name for Colchester, established by the Romans. Thought I throw that in

beansprout · 19/03/2004 16:58

Northerner - I had to reread that twice to work out how that that could be!! Trisha is class - roll on maternity leave and being able to tune in more often I say. Dp gets a bit stuffy about my liking for trash, but since when was football big and clever?!!!

Bagpuss30 · 19/03/2004 17:12

Just had to pop back to see what has happened.

Northerner, what happened in the end? I love Trisha
