PMSL my first thought was what a good idea!

Xena · 22/08/2006 13:43

I'll have one if they do!

I also want the glass that they have in taxis to cut out the sound from the back

lanismum · 22/08/2006 13:45

ooohh a soundproof climbproof cot, hell yeah

Hijack - no lgj he is going tonight, we are driving down to meet him and he is getting the train from work (will allow him to see what the journey is like)

ComeOVeneer · 22/08/2006 13:49

I could do with a lid too. DS is trying to climb out and I have to move the cot into the middle of the room when he is in it otherwise he peels the freize (sp?) of the wall. DD never tried to climb out the cot (she was in it until we needed it for ds). I asked her why and she said "Well I might hurt myself" (she was 3 at the time).

lanismum · 22/08/2006 13:56

cov, obviously a much smarter little girl than mine, she just hauls herself up onto the side and just drops the rest of the way onto wooden floor, shes covered in bruises and im quite worried she will get her leg stuck in the bars and break it or something.

As soon as my son started hurling himself out of his cot i put him onto a bed with a bed guard & a safety gate on his door. But a lid would be fab lol

ComeOVeneer · 22/08/2006 13:58

DS is very good at shoving his knee through the bars and getting it stuck too. He has worked out how to get out of his grobag.

lanismum · 22/08/2006 14:01

i suppose its time to take the side off the cot and turn it into a toddler bed then, im dreading it! how on earth do they lean to climb so young? i think dd could be part mountain goat..........

tape a bin bag over it

put pinpricks through and it will look like stars

lanismum · 22/08/2006 14:03

Time for a bed methinks. We've just put dd2 in one (2 yrs old so a bit older than yours) and on her first night in it she amazed us by sleeping all night then quietly getting up in the morning and taking herself to the bathroom to sit on the potty without even calling to us!

TheLadyVanishes · 22/08/2006 14:15

we have one of those big storage boxes filled with toys stuck in front of tv so dd can't get next to it, she has started to attempt to climb that, just waiting for the cot to be next.

shazronnie · 22/08/2006 14:15

LOL capuccino!

lanismum · 22/08/2006 14:19

well surely she wont be any worse in a bed? she gets out of the cot in about 2 seconds flat anyway, what a waste of money her cot has been, she slept with me for the first 8 months.
shes a nightmare at the park too, she gets up the climbing frames and rope bridge, i get looks of pity from the other mums whos angelic kids stay on the baby swings.

be proud of your rebel

clairemow · 22/08/2006 14:27

if it's any consolation, my DS hates swings - not enough action! Always clambering over bridges, trying to climb up the slide when someone else wants to come down etc. etc.

Is DD in a grobag? We did find that by turning the bag inside out, and doing the zip up from the inside, DS could no longer undo it and then couldn't get his leg over (so to speak )the cot side any more.

lanismum · 22/08/2006 14:35

she was in a grobag, till it started getting warmer, i might try her back in it tonight with just a vest on and see how she goes, i suspect she will just scream in frustration though. i honestly think my only solution is a lid

lanismum · 22/08/2006 15:58

OP posts:
yackertyyack · 22/08/2006 16:31

ahh try not to worry hon, am sure it will be nothing. I had it with both of mine and they were fine. Make sure the dr gets you an early scan to put your mind at rest. Have you managed to trap lanis yet???
