www.facebook.com/pages/Sexy-Little-Girls/668294383191172
I've been asked to share and ask others to report the page and it really is awful. Facebook are refusing to take it down because it contains no nudity...what do we do?????

OP posts:
MamaMary · 24/02/2014 13:11

Are people still able to access it by searching for 'sexy little girls'? I'm not on FB so can't try.

AnyFuckerHQ · 24/02/2014 13:12

Is the page still there or not. I am not searching or following a link.

AnyFuckerHQ · 24/02/2014 13:13

Sorry, that sounds a bit terse and that I expect someone to look for me. I meant has anyone actually seen it still up in the last hour or two ?

bottleofbeer · 24/02/2014 13:13

He was a retired employee. Tesco can't take any action, obviously.

His page appears to have gone, or at least been set to unsearchable.

If it's true that Anonymous hacked the page and set it to open when it has previously been secret (meaning people could only be added by admin because it's not even searchable) or a closed group; meaning you have to apply to be accepted then that explains why they weren't holding back and why they felt safe using their own pages. They thought they couldn't be seen. And they couldn't until it was set to an open group.

Here's hoping Anonymous blow the lid on all of them.

Gruntfuttock · 24/02/2014 13:13

I'm surprised that MNHQ didn't remove the link in the OP.

AnyFuckerHQ · 24/02/2014 13:17

Wow, can hackers do that ? Change closed FB groups to open ? < reviews current membership of closed groups >

bottleofbeer · 24/02/2014 13:19

Yes. But I don't think they have any interest in the kind of group normal people frequent :)

Good hackers can and have got into banks and government sites, FB groups won't be of any major difficulty to them.

AnyFuckerHQ · 24/02/2014 13:27

Good point Smile

ReadyToPopAndFresh · 24/02/2014 13:29

They can do amazing things Anyfucker. Without them I don't think the Steuebenville victim would have had any justice at all.

Personally I am not worried about them opening my FB nappy exchange groups Wink :)

CuttedUpPear · 24/02/2014 13:29

I just got this message from FB:

Thank you for taking the time to report something that you feel may violate our Community Standards. Reports like yours are an important part of making Facebook a safe and welcoming environment. We reviewed the page you reported for containing nudity or pornography and found it doesn't violate our Community Standards

So I assume the page still stands.

hmc · 24/02/2014 13:30

So is it or isn't it still there? Confused

Thisvehicleisreversing · 24/02/2014 13:35

The fact it was a closed group surely makes it obvious to FB that the page was for paedophilic reasons.

If the page was open to all then I suppose you could reason that it was sick dickheads who say things for effect or for 'a laugh'

But it was a closed group, which means these disgusting bastards have gone to the effort of finding it and to ask admin for membership (or whatever it's called)

The members need checking out. If they're happy to look at this stuff on FB then lord knows what other images are on their computers that they think are well hidden.

AnyFuckerHQ · 24/02/2014 13:35

dunno

AgaPanthers · 24/02/2014 13:37

This thread is a fucking car crash.

If these images are illegal (and I don't know as I haven't seen them), then everyone who clicked on the link has committed a criminal offence.

This is not something for internet vigilantes, report it to the police.

hmc · 24/02/2014 13:40

Oh give me a break! Panic mongering - much

FyreFly · 24/02/2014 13:42

Ugh, reported to IWF. I saw this last night but was so shocked I just logged off and went to bed Sad

I have no words.

hmc · 24/02/2014 13:46

link on the law

Merely clicking on the page (with a view to reporting it as we all did) is not listed as an offence...however publication / distribution is

AnyFuckerHQ · 24/02/2014 13:49

Aga it's statements like that which make people fearful of reporting and allow shit like to flourish

AnyFuckerHQ · 24/02/2014 13:49

like that

ArrivedAtPanicStation · 24/02/2014 13:55

People ARE reporting it to the police AGA and all the relevant people.

People are helping to try and get it shut down. Are you? Or are you just condemning everyone as criminals?

ArrivedAtPanicStation · 24/02/2014 13:56

Agreed AnyFucker

Some people are quick to turn a blind eye.

AgaPanthers · 24/02/2014 13:57

This shit flourishes because people want it. There will be thousands more sites like that, shared between like-minded individuals.

If you link to things that creates potential liability (yes you might be able to put forward a defence, but that's not really a stage that you want to get to).

And secondly, if you view illegal images they will be on your computer in the browser cache - you are in possession of them as is made clear on that page, and they will remain on your computer for a considerable period of time due to modern hard drives.

Again, you may be able to put forward a defence to that but again that's not really a stage you would want to get to.

Finally starting threads on mumsnet, twitter, etc. does not constitute reporting it.

HellomynameisIcklePickle · 24/02/2014 13:58

The page is DOWN

however the reports from Facebook suggest that they did not close it

AgaPanthers · 24/02/2014 13:59

ArrivedAtPanicStation, I am pointing out that this is not fun and games, throwing metaphorical stones at internet perverts. You don't want this material on your computer for any reason, simple as that.

hmc · 24/02/2014 14:04

If you care to read the thread you will see that posters have not merely discussed this on mumsnet but have reported it extensively to the police / IWF etc etc
