I haven't got to grips with mine yet - so to speak. I find the pinging into shape once you've put it in is a bit alarming - like one of those pop up tents ! Plus have any of you completely removed the stem ? I have cut quite a bit off and it's still uncomfortable. Support and encouragement needed please !

Pod - as long as you make sure you don't cut right off and end up with an expensive funnel, cut the whole bloody stem off. Tis a useless bit.

Tis a silicone egg cup shaped thing that you shove up your girly bits and it catches your period.

If you don't bleed anyway, tis not needed

Just grab the ridge bits round the base and pull from there. I always squeezed there anyway to break the seal (gently, not squash the lot or it gets messy ), so just pull from there too.

i like (not love) my mooncup. i can now actually cope with periods without being sore after reacting to pads and tampons. washable pads are fine, but for the 1st 3 days its like having a bloomin pillow between my legs.

i cut the stem completely of my mooncup. mind you after 3 kids, its easy to remove it

Did I mention I have the mirena coil and so actually don't need one anyway!!!!

Believe me - I only used it in the first place because we had been having all the pain issues (as you know), and although the sponge thingies (which are probably much more icky) were working, they only lasted about 3 hours.

Have very light periods & only use teeny little regular tampons. Am hideously accident prone though & just know I would be the only person in the universe to squirt blood everywhere, drop it so it rolled under the next cubicle, mishandle it & pour my own blood all over myself etc etc etc!!
