Will read leisurely over lunch and report back.

Aw, you are all so lovely. Isn't Thomcat amazing? The original article was longer and I feel sad that some of the things she said about Lottie aren't there - they were so beautiful - but there you go.

Prufrock - I DID MENTION MUMSNET (in the other feature you read)!! and they cut it out! I will have words. Mumsnet WILL be mentioned!

I managed to get this to read on the train and it was so lovely and heart warming. Lottie really is adorable in those pictures. And your story is fantastic

florenceuk · 08/03/2004 13:13

Lovely pictures, great article. Lottie is adorable and I especially love that one of her in the pink chair. Both TC and her partner Dom come across as fantastic loving parents. Good to hear it will get wider circulation through the Standard!

Oh Thomcat , I still cant find it anywere, every newsagent/ supermarket I have been too doesnt seem to have it. Now the next issue will be out & still wont have seen it. Can I get it online somehow. Would really love to read it.

handlemecarefully · 15/03/2004 09:47

I had difficulty getting the magazine too, but on Saturday found a copy in Waitrose in Romsey.

It was a very uplifting and inspiring article Thomcat, and your daughter has inherited your good looks!

Thomcat · 15/03/2004 11:26

Melsy, if you REALLY want to see it feel free to email me through mumsnet and I can email it over as 2 j-pegs for you.

lou33 · 15/03/2004 12:11

Tc, could you do that for me too please?

Thomcat · 15/03/2004 12:12

Sure honey, but do me a favour and email me first as I have lost my address box a few times and not sure I have your address after my last crash.
TC x

Thomcat - I have just received my copy and read your article with tears in my eyes. It's beautiful. I love your comment about the world not needing more lawyers - it's made me think a bit about my occasionally competitive parenting.

Well done to everyone involved!

Thomcat · 15/03/2004 12:32

Thanks Senora. Nothing against lawyers as such, just a comment to show that I dodn't care what Lottie does.

Symapathies re everything that is going on in Spain at the moment

She's in The Evening Standard TODAY!! And looking absolutely gorgeous. Page 18 - headline is "Just look at Lottie, aren't we lucky? So lovely to see her beautiful smiling face when there is so much bad news...

Thomcat · 15/03/2004 13:07

ohhhhh, how exciting!!! More money for the charity that means. oh that's great news, thanks Aloha.

Twinkie · 15/03/2004 14:24

What a lovely surprise - although now crying again - opened Evening Standard and their was Lottie's beautiful face - really made my day!!

whymummy · 15/03/2004 16:25

Thomcat · 15/03/2004 16:26

Thanks girls - that so nice of you

eddm · 15/03/2004 23:08

Ooh saw Standard on the train home and was so excited! Lottie is absolutely gorgeous ? clearly runs in the family . Am very jealous as have wanted a little girl called Lottie since I first started playing with dolls. Got a ds instead (fill in the usual cliche about how he's lovely and I wouldn't change him, is all true).

willow2 · 16/03/2004 22:21

Saw it too - really lovely to see Lottie, having heard so much about her - and to read such a positive article for a change!

whymummy · 17/03/2004 17:08

hi thomcat, just to let you know that i gave the ES to a friend of mine, she's got 3 children the youngest is DS and she found the article really helpful and positive, she's looking forward to watching you on GMTV too
thanks xx

Thomcat · 17/03/2004 17:17

Thanks for letting me know that whymummy
If your friend ever needs someone to chat to, about 'stuff', I'd more than happy to speak to her either over the phone or by email or anything. I could always send her some of the magazines i've got written by children with DS or by the parents. they are really uplifting and interesting. Just let me know.

whymummy · 17/03/2004 17:31

thomcat you're an angel, she absolutely would love that, they moved here not too long ago and i think she feels really isolated and knows no one else in the same situation, she's lovely and i know it will mean the world to her to speak to you,i will tell her tomorrow
thank you so much xx

Thomcat · 17/03/2004 17:42

Ohh excellent. I'll get her a little pack of stuff together.
Email me through mumsnet and I'll give you my phone numbers and everything.
Where does she live btw?

whymummy · 17/03/2004 18:32
