Come on ...who need to get driving leesons/tests booked...whos faffing?

I did start reading the book yesterday but after half of an hour I fell asleep ... at least it's a start

I'm due my first lesson ever on Tuesday... the lovely girl I work with happily regaled me stories of her learner driver past one included driving into a van.... feels a bit like being pg everyone but everyone wants to share their horrible birthing experiences with you only with this everyone appears to have almost killed themselves instead....

Nutty if you have a british passport you don't need anyone to sign the back of you photo for your probvisional license...

Sigh, I failed again, hows everyone else getting on?

Please can I join? I am having lessons atm, have failed 3 tests previously but many years ago. Am not a natural driver but am starting to enjoy it now. Had a lesson today and papped myself doing 50mph.

Hi northerner, yeah arsed it at a roundabout. Couldnt think what i was meant to do, knew I had to indicate or id fail anddone it the wrong way Arse.

do you practise with someone else cc? or just your instructor

Sometimes drive dps car, but theres no comparison, totally different cars/experience.

You will get it CC, sometimes exam nerves get the better of you....my late aunty failed a grand total of ten times (and this was in the days when it was far easier to pass), once she got her licence though she never drove again..Strange woman.

My lessons are going pretty well, but why are other drivers such arses???
To date I had a four by four kissing my ass on a really small residential road and I was exactly on the speed limit (I mean what happens if I stall, it's his insurance not mine that'll have to pay).

There was the teenager who decided to follow me whilst giving me the finger on a wide road with no other traffic, he could have over taken and broken the speed limit but no he wanted to follow me with one hand on the wheel and the other gesticulating....my instructor turned around and gave hime the finger back

There was the woman this week who went to over-take me on a really busy road, and knocked over a motorcyclist....

I'm begining to wonder if I want to learn to drive with those sort of people out there!!!!

I know what you mean fuzzywuzzy, my mum was coming down the back road to my house, single road with passing places, white van drives at her, past the passing place, stops next to her and saying If you scrape my van ill murder you. My two kids were in the car with her
Who the hell did he think he was? And he should have stopped...............

I've got my test on Monday and I already feel sick thinking about it. Its my first one so not sure what to expect. I'll be so gutted if I fail, my second baby is due in 4 weeks and I really need to do this.
Had my last lesson on Thursday and seemed to mess everything up. My little brother had an accident on Wednesday night of which I saw the aftermath and I think its made me more nervous seeing what can happen (I say accident, some w*k*s in a stolen Metro drove into him).

And sorry you failed charliecat, have you re-booked?

Rebooked but the first one I can get is october
You stop and start a lot on the test. A lot more than you would in a lesson, they need to see you pull away on a hill from behind a parked car etc.
Someone on here said to me Take control of the car, and that made sense to me, on my first test I was a juddering wreck and just waiting for me me to balls up and fail.
Get some rescue remedy for nerves.

Hi!! I got 6 minors. I thought I'd failed, I was on a national speed limit road and tried to change from 5th gear to 4th, made a total balls up and went into 2nd! I said to the examiner I've just failed haven't I and he told me to relax and concentrate. I relaxed after that thinking I'd already messed it up! When he said well that?s the end of the test and I'm pleased to tell you you've passed I burst into tears and hugged the poor little old man to death
My instructor drove me home and I went straight in, grabbed my car keys and fetched dd from nursery. I hadn't told anyone I was taking it so I drove round to all my family to show them. These last few days have been fantastic. The freedom.....
I so hope you pass next time charliecat, my instructor told me last week that the average person passes their 3rd test.

I have got a cancelation for the 2nd of september now.
Cant waitt o get it over and done with. Theres a 2 month waiting list so if I balls this one up it will be november after that......cant bals it up, cant balls it up...
