Ok, I've got to start this one now, as I was actually lying in bed last night thinking about it (v sad I know - insomnia was another present from the kids)
Anyway, what sort of mental images have you got of these people. I'll list mine now - no offence intended to anyone!
Mollipops - after your last post, it's got to be puff the magic dragon!
Pamina - chic city lady with dark curly hair (that's what you sounded like bc anyway).
Tigger - dungarees & wellies caked in mud - with a VERY large g&t in hand
Chanelno5 - tricky one this, as I misread your name initially & thought it was channel no 5, not nearly as upmarket I'm afraid, but now it's confused with a north sea oil rigger!
Ems - delia smith (sorry)
Lizzer - Bit like that lass from the boddies adverts (know the one I mean),
Anyway, that's my starter for ten, I'll add anymore I think of.

OP posts:
Ems · 01/02/2002 14:58

Cheers berries, just coz I wrote a recipe! You didnt envisage me as a drop dead gorgeous Nigella equivalent? More of a sensible bowl-cut Delia?!

Marina · 01/02/2002 15:30

At least she didn't think you had hairy sideburns and a mockney accent, Ems

TigerMoth1 · 01/02/2002 16:07

Ems, your posts sound like they have been written by one of my friends in Brighton, so I find myself imagining that you look like her

Tinker · 01/02/2002 19:42

Pamina is short with a neat dark bob, very efficient.
Tigermoth is very tall, with a blond bob (but a think she's already told us this, so I'm cheating a bit). Thoughtful, measured, young minded.
Lizzer - younger version of Diana Moran, the Green Goddess woman, very active, positive and enthusiastic. Smiles a lot. Gentle voice.
ScummyMummy - not so tall, wavy dark shoulder length hair, talks like Deborah Orr.
Kia - County type

Me - Nigella Lawson, obviously!!!!!!!!

Oooo, I shall have to come back to this one.

Kia · 01/02/2002 23:17

Is 'county' like Mrs Bucket's sister Violet with the jacuzzi and room for a pony - only WITH an aga and a couple of gun dawgs?!

I always thought County was a big brash woman in ancestral tartans, complete with aga, couple of gun dawgs, headscarf and willow shopping basket, goes to all the right parties but has holes in her tights? Ah yes, come to think of it - must visit M&S tommorrow!

I'm thinking of changing me name to Violet!

Kia · 01/02/2002 23:18

As for any of you lot - well I couldn't possibly comment!!!

ChanelNo5 · 02/02/2002 00:12

Heres my little (pissed out of my head) contribution to this thread, and rememeber, I love you all like you are my own, right:_

Pamina - now you know you're Bridget Jones.
Kia - definitely country type, but sort who'd get pd with you, so ok in my book.

Tinker - Romany type who tries to se3ll hand-carved pegs to unsuspecting Mumsnetters.

Tigermoth - bit of a fetish for North Sea Oil Workers, but a bit of a babe and very like me (God help you!)

Berries - Voluptous temptress with big boobs and a bubbly perm

Ems - friend next door sort of person, A-line skirt and Clarkes shoes

Lizzer - bit skatty, but up for a laugh when not lighting joss=sticks and twirling in hippy skirt

Marina - a lady who lunches, but reaaly would prefer a pint down the pub with us ruffians!

Mollipops - like Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Tigger - full of energy and get-up-and-go even at 7am in the morning, likes to wear dungarees!

Please don't be offended, as these are the mad ramblings of a alcohol saturated brain, and I will be at the Mumsnet meet-up to rectify these mad images. I have been boozing tonight BTW if you hadn't noticed, and yet I still check onto Mumsnet, sad , who me?
Pamina, me darlin', where are you tonight, hope you're not at some lock in?

jsmummy · 02/02/2002 02:28

Right then, I'm 5ft 8, midlength highlighted hair, no dungarees I'm afraid, just a pair of jeans, leggings on top of the Nora Wellies, permanent smell of lambs just now and lamb milk, cos we've got 2 pet lambs!. The current perfume is Eau De Silage, moving onto Eua De Coo Dung in another month when the cows start calving!.
This is a good discussion, keep up the good humour!
Oh by the by, we've just got a thug, a collie pup named Maid who is well to say the least like whirlwind about the farm!

Tigger2 · 02/02/2002 13:52

Yes and I have a wee passion for a Gin!

ChanelNo5 · 02/02/2002 17:41

Ok Chaps, I've got a few more for you (remember my ideas are based purely on your nicknames not on your postings, so don't be offended as it's just a bit of fun. Feel free to say what you like about me, I can take as good as I give!)

Suedonim - Short, neat, dark bob. Softely spoken. Lots of friends. Wears wacky leggings with a saggy bum (the leggings not Sue!) and John Lennon style glasses.

Alibubbles - Similar to Berries, but dark and mysterious. Wears colourful batwing jumpers with little mirrors on the front. Drives a big, red diesel.

Pupuce - Likes to wear tight, brown leather. Rides a scooter, would love to own a motorbike, but thinks they're too fast.

Eulalia - Wears pink, floaty gowns. Smells of ylang ylang. Grows lilies. Owns an oriental massage parlour in Epping.

Enid - Short, dark hair. Shiny face. Wears cardigans with pearl buttons and check skirts. Very sweet.

Suew - Straight, dark hair in a ponytail, no fringe. Looks young for her age. Likes history and has traced her family tree back to 4BC!

Robinw - Makes me think of 70's sitcom 'Robin's Nest' so perhaps a female version of Richard O'Sullivan (sorreee!)

JanH - A night nurse. Wears glasses has brown curly hair. Is laid back and open with her kids.

Scummymummy - Difficult one this! New Age Earth Mother. Wears shawls. Quick witted. Sits in a rocking chair to compose poems. Loves the Queen Mum.

Batters - Captain of a ladies hockey team. Hates her knees. Drinks Pims. Favourite colour is olive green. Owns a pony called 'Scamp'.

Crunchie - Good laugh, but sensible too. Likes to store everything away in labelled tupperware boxes.

Bells - Music teacher. Plays bagpipes. Likes whiskey. Does yoga. Favourite colour is red.

Oh well, back to my padded cell to get ready for Pop Idol.

Tigger - give your little puppy a pat from me!

Pupuce · 02/02/2002 19:29

Too funny !
I wish I owned leather trowsers (they'd be back though)... But you're right, motorbikes are too fast !
Unfortunately I am not as creative so I can't do what you do...

SueDonim · 02/02/2002 22:17

ROFL, Chanel!! I've got brown (used to be red)shoulder length hair that doesn't know the meaning of the word neat. I gave away my last pair of leggings years ago and couldn't possibly wear JL specs - wouldn't suit my face at all, dahling! Dunno whether I'm softly spoken, I'll need to ask someone else about that. Mind you, I do fancy having a little scooter - wonder if Pupuce would hand over hers???

jodee · 02/02/2002 23:04

Oh rejection!

Feel like I'm back in the school playground the last one to be picked for netball again!

.. nobody loves me, everybody hates me, goin' down the garden to eat worms ...

jokin'

ChanelNo5 · 03/02/2002 08:53

Oh Jodee, please don't feel like I have missed you out, you are on my next list. But just to give you a little sneak preview..........

Jodee - Wants to be Baby Spice. Collects ragdolls. Giggles alot. Drinks Malibu and coke or Babysham out of a glass with a paper umbrella. Has got an immaculate white kitchen. Drives a purple mini she calls 'Emma'.

and Rhiannon - Very neat shoulder lenght dark bob. Clothes very expensive and always pristine. Lives in a big house with a housekeeper and butler. In demand for dinner parties because of dry sense of humour. Secretly lusts after Paul Merton.

berries · 03/02/2002 13:02

Ems - sorry, it's just that your recipes always look like they work (even for me) so its that incredible link with Delia I'm afraid. Still, promise I will think more like Nigella infuture.
Jodee - 5' 8", slim long blonde hair - that's why I wouldn't mention it - spit spit.
Marina - long blonde hair, fishy tail (sorry, harking back to my youth)
JSMummy - probably sat there with a hangover!
Eulalia - earth mother with long curly hair and lots of naked babies frolicking at her feet.

Enid · 03/02/2002 15:29

God Chanel, I look exactly like that!

jodee · 03/02/2002 15:48

LOL Chanel and Berries! I don't feel so unwanted now (sniff!). Yes it's true, I am really Jerry Hall in disguise - but Malibu and Coke is soooo eighties, it's Bacardi Breezers for me now, dahhlings!

SueDonim · 03/02/2002 16:11

LOL, Pupuce! Now if it was lilac maybe we'd have a deal.

honeybunny · 03/02/2002 19:49

Oh no you don't Enid!!

honeybunny · 03/02/2002 19:52

Well, not unless you've radically changed since Xmas!!!! Has the country got to you at last!! But of course, you are VERY sweet!! Sweetie!

Enid · 03/02/2002 20:14

Dammit, honeybunny, you've given me away. Thought it sounded like a great disguise to hide behind...
