Hmm, think I will leave a muffin out for the binmen - they would think it was rubbish and do what they do with the rest of the rubbish (ie throw it all over my front garden and the road)
What is that site like?

Coddy · 05/02/2004 13:41

Funnier than it intends to be!

When sending a letter or card to someone, include a leaf from a tree or shrub, or a flower that can easily be enclosed inside the card or between the pages of your letter. You may even choose to just send the leaf or flower in an envelope, and make it an anonymous gesture

LOL

"Drop off a plant, flowers or apple pie at the police department or your neighbors house "

Am off to stuff an apple pie through next-door's letter box

Last Monday someone was really kind for me and it completely shocked me, and made my day! I had bought Dd a little bookcase from Argos and was going to carry it to the car, whilst pushing her pushchair - not easy but I could have managed as not too far. Man next to me asked me to hang on a second and he then carried if for me, even though his car was in the opposite direction. He was lovely.

" Offer a ride (to people you know) when you see them walking alone through the Ghetto" OMG!!! Must get off to the local ghetto and wait until someone I know walks by

emmatmg · 05/02/2004 13:45

I already do several acts of kindness per day.........dress them, feed them, tidy up after them, wash them and their stuff etc etc etc.

I'm even kind to the dog.....she gets fed too!

Coddy · 05/02/2004 13:48

£ old people asked me for directions to the Eye Infirmary a few weeks ago and after trying to explain i said "follow me" and took them. It was on my way really but still jolly nice of me!!!
And their faces, honest, you'd think i'd just given them a million pounds!!Bless!

Zerub · 05/02/2004 14:01

That list is hilarious. It seems to be made up of things that are either

a) completely wierd
or
b) things that you surely have to do (feed your pets)
or
c) things that you would do anyway (say thank you when someone holds a door for you? what are they on?)

I quite like "schedule a colleague's birthday off" but why is it an act of kindness for me to take a day off on my colleague's birthday?

Coddy · 05/02/2004 14:02

I took someone torwards stonehenge once when it was out of my way.

we ARE kind!

OP posts:
Angeliz · 05/02/2004 14:05

I just had a thought and am giggling away. Imagine taking someone so far then saying, "carry straight on you can't miss it", if you'd taken them the wrong way!!! Would you sit at home giggling

EEhh think it's me who needs to get out more!!

Coddy · 05/02/2004 14:07
