Jesus.

Maybe I'll run off to my Colorado house today..................

Silly bitch. Bet she's got nannies, cleaner, housekeeper etc etc. Wouldn't know the meaning of humdrum life.

Try living in a tiny house with less than £300 a week, no help and elderly relatives to look after.

Women like her make me puke.

FrannySmith · 20/05/2006 08:46

Silly woman. Her other book was no great shakes, either.

cupcakes · 20/05/2006 08:47

"The streets of Ladbroke Grove are a narrow place from which to view the world."

yes, that made me lol.

zippitippitoes · 20/05/2006 08:51

not made any better by the wouldn't it be fun to pretend to join up with mexicans crossing the border

CarolinaMoose · 20/05/2006 08:51

how fortunate that she got a new novel out of it too.

ssd · 20/05/2006 09:09

had to laugh at the bit when she said her husband told her to stay away for as long as she liked. Think he shows good judgement.

cupcakes · 20/05/2006 09:15

yes, zippi - what a fun jaunt.Sad

cupcakes · 20/05/2006 09:16

I mean, Sad at her, not you!!

zippitippitoes · 20/05/2006 09:18

she obviously hasn't thought that there are very real issues involved. I thought the pretend running away was bad enough until I got to the pretend mexican escapade

'Did she consider going for ever? No.'

That's the real shame.

I lived in a cabin in Colorado once. To get away from vapid, dull gits like her.

They never lasted long out there, anyway. Too much work.

vitomum · 20/05/2006 10:22

stupid cow. oh well must het back to that 'living death' i call my life.

rabbitrabbit · 20/05/2006 10:23

re DH "he was incredibly generous and told me to go for good"
Bet he did - probably sick to f**king death of her whinging.

rabbitrabbit · 20/05/2006 10:24

re DH "he was incredibly generous and told me to go for as long as needed"
Bet he did - probably sick to f**king death of her whinging.

expatinscotland · 20/05/2006 10:27

still, she's lucky to have him. i'd have applied for divorce on grounds of abandonment whilst she was away.

imagine being stupid, selfish AND ugly all at once.

MissChief · 20/05/2006 10:41

what wonderful free publicity for her!
wonder if she suffers from hayfever?

zippitippitoes · 20/05/2006 10:42

this quote from an interview with her

and a quote from one of her books

Actually, I understand exactly where she is coming from. Unlike her I took all four children and I never went back.

MissChief · 20/05/2006 10:52

she was hardly slumming it or taking a huge risk though, was she? Is it really an "escape" to go to a family home overseas? I'd say rather it was a comfortable, safe temporary retreat - and v handy for gathering material for her new book!

zippitippitoes · 20/05/2006 10:53

I think it's called a holiday

cmon, just coz you have cleaners nannies etc doesnt mean life is hunky dory.
money only makes some things easeir. it doesnt equal happiness.
unless you are a shallow materialistic cgit

SSSandy · 20/05/2006 15:43

But if you take 2 of your children and go off to the family home in Colorado, are you not still doing boring hum-drum housewife and mother type things there? It's just a different setting, isn't it?
