I buy the 5 pack of apple juice cartons

Washing powder(actually haven't used it yet but SIL says it's fab)

i am not one for freezer food but their chicken kievs are fabfab fab

Washing powder (have used it for ages, is fab), nappies, potato salad (mmmmmm), bratwurst (takes me back to my days in Berlin......), frozen wholetail scampi, fruit juice, tinned tomatoes. I avoid their baby wipes (v highly scented) and their fresh meat but I think most of the rest is fine.

which washing powder? There are loadsof types and the one I got wasn't very good.

prosecco is nice

someone on here recommended the pesto frozen pizzas that were very nice

a friend recommended their curry sauces I think, said there were hardly any odd e no. type ingredients

I also buy orange juice in glass bottle

Is it really that much cheaper though?

It really is much chepaer for food - check the other stuff. 6 mini cartons of apple juice are 89p, tomatoes on the vine are cheaper than you would get ordinary tomatoes at Sainsbury's, the mini cartons of mulit-vit juice are currently half price at 64p.

The Cava is back to £3.69 (it was £2.72 for a long time), but it is perfectly respectable.

Parmesan and mozarella are also much cheaper.

My grocery costs are nearly half what they used to be: a combination of doing listsand menus, andonly going to Sainbury (for the expensive stuff ) once a fortnight.

oooh I nearly posted about Lidl's a couple of days ago. This week they have a sandpit in their leaflet. Was £37.99 - save £18 and pay £19.99. I shall be there on Thursday morning. We need a new one.

I like their deli products - lardons, continental cheeses.

I also like their pasta sauces.

Their coffee is a bit rough, but manageable for a pound a packet.

Juice and fizzy (or still) water is a giveaway.

Their biscuits are good, but I try to show restraint. And also their continental sweets.

Fresh flowers - a bargain.

I only really go to Aldi/Lidl when they have a special that I am interested in, and I tend to pick up the above when I am there.

Their fruit & veg is good value too - all class 2, but still cheaper than you'd think.

Their household products and personal hygiene products are cr@p, IMO. Their wine is too rough, even at £2 a bottle. Cereals don't pass the child test.

I have used their non-bio washing powder for ages with no problems - but have developed horrific allergic rash in unmentionable areas from that new posh Comfort fabric softener with almond oil in!!

DH adores their almond ice creams, which are like Magnum. being healthy I like their individual pots of peach, forest fruit and strawberry ice cream, toppesd with toasted seeds. they're ereally scrummy and only 1.5 WW points each.
