Will this keep my conservatory cooler?

Someone has suggested that I put spray adhesive (the remountable stuff) on the ceiling and fix kitchen foil up.

Will this work?
Can anyone think of any reason why not?
Is there an easier way?

Is there anthing (on a roll like foil) that is shiney one side and white (beige/grey) on the other?

My conservatory is lovely in the summer (north east facing). But the winter its so cold you could hang meat in there. I tried to make insulating roof blinds with thermal lining backed with nice fabric. I stuck it up with velcro, but it was a disaster. Looked terrible and the stick on velcro wouldnt hold properly. Disaster.

What a shame themoon66, my drapes look lovely....but they are useless
