She only nicked a £300 vase when she was out shopping with Dev!!!! And seems to think it was perfectly acceptable..... Mind you, I could see her point when Dev said she should take it back, and she pointed out that she hadn't got a receipt. I think she's going to turn out to be a serious psycho. I guess now Brenda's locked up they're about due another one on the street

tech · 12/01/2004 22:13

She nicked a vase from a furniture store (300 quid vase at that.) I think it was that same store Karen worked at until they all started sneering at her and Janice turned up with chips. When Dev objected she started acting slightly manic and he got sort of scared.

Appalling continuity error of the day: when Norris left the shop to go out, the door had a yale lock and a closed sign. When Chesney came in about 3 seconds later, the door had a handle, no yale lock and no sign. Don't these people have eyes? It's going the way of Brookside in so many ways.....

Yes, she's definately going to turn into a bunny boiler, I think.

Kayleigh · 13/01/2004 20:00

tech, wow, you're observant! I never notice stuff like that even when it's glaringly obvious.
I guess I am a crap continuity persons dream !

and what's all that with Shelley's mum & the builder? she's got sort of bunny-boiler hair

lazyeye · 14/01/2004 11:25

Dreadful Deidre is like a dog on heat round that bloomin builder.Hes an obvious swindler as well. She should have water chucked over her.........and why does she insist on wearing belts over skirts and dresses?

Chesney's mam is great.......very good parenting!!

bundle · 14/01/2004 11:31

lazyeye, yes I love Chesney's mum too, a bit like a panto villain

bundle · 14/01/2004 11:31

one of the great mysteries of the universe: why so many men fancy Deidre...

Janstar · 14/01/2004 11:47

Does anyone here have a Chesney in their family?

I can't help thinking my ds1 is a Chesney in the making.........poor Rita

Janstar · 14/01/2004 11:53

That builder bloke is revolting. I can't understand why any of them fancy him. Even Ken is more attractive.

bundle · 14/01/2004 11:54

batters - can't help but smile to know that her beloved Samir's kidney now resides in demonic Tracey!

bundle · 14/01/2004 11:54

even Norris is more attractive

lazyeye · 14/01/2004 11:55

Is there gonna be drugs or summat hidden in that mad fridge Jack and Vera got off our Terry?

Its just too bizzare a story line to end with the selling to swindler lover boy builder....

(Sorry Corrie is my fav subject and about as intellecutal as i get these days)

bundle · 14/01/2004 12:00

oh lazyeye, I've missed so much in the past few weeks - do tell about the fridge! and has Tracey spilled the beans about her sprog? are the dopey butcher and his nanny shacked up yet? I feel so out of touch..

lazyeye · 14/01/2004 12:06

Well.........our Terry sent J&V a huge fridge from Crimbo. It was so big they couldn't get it in the front door (cue comic scene with Kirk et al trying to push it through). Anyway, knocked down back kitchen to get it in and took supporting wall with it. Lover boy builder quotes them 2 grand to fix it (2 grand!!). Jack sells him the fridge for 500 as part payment. Must be more to it........

I think everyone knows about Tracy's sprog - she told Steve he is the father and says she loves him.........Steve running fast in opposite direction......

Don't think butcher boy and too good to be true nanny are at it yet.......watch this space.

bundle · 14/01/2004 12:09

thanks lazyeye, feel replenished.
£2K??? does that include an RSJ??? is it a Smeg fridge?
I suppose the Croppers are bound to find out Steve's the father. maybe they could share parental responsiblity - 3 dads!

Metrobaby · 14/01/2004 12:44

I wonder about little Beth sometimes. She's not even 4 and already has 2 close encounters with death (one with mad grannie, other with mad Mr Hilman). She's always so well behaved too - never cries, whinges, throws tantrums, and stays in one place. Actually Ashleys little boy is much the same too.

As for Sarah - how much can a teenager at her age take - she's gone through the mill so much !

Bozza · 14/01/2004 13:57

Lazyeye it was to fix the building not the fridge.

Metrobaby have you forgotten Beth's electrocution?

lazyeye · 14/01/2004 14:02

Bozza - I know....must be my bad English....even lover boy builder woulnd't charge 2grand to fix a fridge, or maybe he would.

Has Maya moved in with Dev now........? Would you have paid 300 quid for that vase? I got one very similar for someboys pressie at Crimbo from John Lewis and it was only 7 quid!!

Northerner · 14/01/2004 14:05

Corries is getting so silly IMO. Still watch it though!
