Lisa, you've been very naughty, but I have to say 9 SLICES, that's impressive!

feel free to be rude to me coddy if im not performing, I very desperately want to get the weight off, my new job starts in march and i need to wear my old suits again. Im in a 12 now but not comfortably so, want to be a ten again or at least a very comfy 12!

chunkymonkey · 03/01/2004 12:15

Please can I join Coddy?

Afraid I've had to change my name as I am HUGE compared to you lot!

I have got AF atm, so weigh a bit more cos of that, had a baby a few months ago, am 5'8", and am (un?)lucky enough to have put blubber on all over rather than just on boobs or bum/thighs, and weigh......wait for it.....

14 stone 9 pounds! Boo hooooooo!

I am quite a 'big girl', size 8 feet etc., and haven't weighed less than 11 stone since I was halfway through high school and hit puberty...
so I've got 3 stone 9 pounds to lose in total to get down to what I was happy at.

Hmm, think I might be one of the club's longest serving members!

emmatmg · 03/01/2004 17:39

Well I got a pleasent surprise at my weigh in earlier.
9st 13lbs in jeans and jumper and just after lunch. Got my AF at the moment but not sure if that makes me heavier or lighter. Is it heavier before it arrives or during?

I always thought I was 5'4" but it seems I've shrunk by 1/2 an inch when I measured myself.

The machine said my ideal weight was 9stone exactly so that's what I'm heading for.

Lisa78 · 03/01/2004 18:06

Have been good today Coddy, (but am still rather proud of my 9 slices!) and no, of course no dressing on the salad! Mind you, lots of those toasted crispy bits, potato salad in sauce etc!!!
Have been to Argos to change my scales (kept weighing me at 5 stone!!) and walked all the way there and back - 1.5 hours - with dog and baby!
They didn't have them in till Monday, so will be walking again then
Am cooking baked potato instead of chips for tea - would prefer chips though!!!!

emmatmg · 03/01/2004 18:16

I've devised a little plan for me, it makes dinner time abit awkward but with DH working shifts it works fine for us.
Instead of sitting down with the children for dinner I wait until they have finished to cook mine, then if they leave half of theirs and it happens to find it's way to my mouth I'm not eating 2 dinners. Mostly I just eat what they leave......which isn't as bad as it sounds.

codswallop · 03/01/2004 18:37

LOl at the walking emma well done. all welcome - esp you chunky - are you gong to ww too?

I am strting on wed. got he old book out swede is No pOints so that will do instead of spud, I love it anyway

balsamic vinegar - no points - good for salad dressing, 2 satsumas are only half apoint.

(If you are 5 7 and about a stone overwight you can have 18 points btw)

glass of wine is 2 and a MATCHBOX PIECE OF CHEESE IS 4 if I remember right

OP posts:
emmatmg · 03/01/2004 18:44

coddy, I just looked back at my posts thinking 'where have I walked lately' then I saw the next one from you. DOH!

melsy · 03/01/2004 18:47

HHHHMMMM I came in at 9.6 ,1lb heavier than last week??????? & only had 127 points(even with BIg New years dinner) , is it my time of month doing this, I must have lost something?????? Very disapointed , dont understand.

princessinapeartree · 03/01/2004 19:17

not very well really. forgot about breakfast, have had a chicken leg and courgettes and chickpeas for lunch (coddy will recognise this as my lunch yesterday as well - fridge empty save for leftovers and a surfeit of courgettes!), think I'm going to have to dig some thai fishcakes out of the freezer for supper but they are just salmon, a bit of potato, and chilli etc. Will probably have them with salad. but I don't feel I've got my diet head on yet.
Haven't had any caffeine since Thursday though - thats good isn't it?

codswallop · 03/01/2004 19:30

no you are doing badly.

sort it aaat princess(sounding like Den Watts)

OK I'll sign on (after a name change for me too - I've just realised that I currently weigh about 1.5 times my "ideal" - uugh).

My weigh in is 11 7. I've lost 5 lbs since the start of December having quit b/f ds2 and rejoined the gym. I'm also going down the route of living on M&S count on us meals. Dh hates "healthy" food but is happy with ready measl. If I cook I have to add on so much fatty stuff to keep him happy that I'm effectively cooking 2 meals.

My prepg weight with ds2 was 11 10, so now below that. Pre pg with ds1 was 10 10 so that is my next "milestone". That will leave me with a BMI of 30, so will be joining chunkymonkey on the long haul!

Not a great day for me to start though - dh had agreed to grilled stake and veg tonight, but the steak smelt dodgy, so its a small chicken shish kebab (I think that that was about the lowest point takeout from memory? Any ideas for when stuck with no food). But did do a 50 min gym session earlier...

Lisa78 · 03/01/2004 20:00

want a jam tart...

codswallop · 03/01/2004 21:03

Honestly you lot we are only on day 2!!

nothing tastes as good as being slim feels (!)

I have today rejected.. wine, ice cream, baked potato (in laws had these wiht dh for supper)

Coddy,
You are our idol, our light in a dark world, our saviour from the temptation of MacDonalds, our guide through the rocky mountain of calorie control and without you we would all be blimps. Have had a rice cake instead!

Beccarollover · 03/01/2004 21:16

I feel I must cleanse my soul and come clean about what I have eaten today - its not good!

Although I have Monday in mind as my proper start date, I can never commit to a diet if its not the beginning of the week
