Coddy? Are you talking to me? do you mean food or people scales?

princessinapeartree · 02/01/2004 09:51

aurghghghghgh
5ft 6" and 9 stone 12 (which is about 3lbs heavier than before Xmas)
I'll go for the stone but ideally would like to about 5lbs more than that...

Hulababy · 02/01/2004 10:08

No idea how much I weigh and have no scales; will go with how I feel about clothes. Currently in a size 12 and, at 5 foot, feel this is too big. Want to get back into a comfortable 10 at the very least and to get rid of my tummy (yuk ).

Going to try following WW points and going to start properly on Monday after doing a big shop at weekend.

melsy · 02/01/2004 10:08

Hi Can I join

BTW codswallop periods add 2-3lb of water to your weight. I know as weighed last Sat as started and 9.5 in morning and then went up to 9.7 in a few hrs!!!!!!I am only 5ft 2" so a bit dumpy at this weight.

My weigh in day has to be Sat I am afraid, as thats when I bought my first scales(never dieted b4 as always 7.5 until; depo provera but thats on another thread). I have been on my own version of WW since 9th Dec. Will have to let you all know tommorow, so PLEASE pray that I am down to 9.3 . So far lost 5lb's, have 11lbs to go.

melsy · 02/01/2004 10:18

helllllooo were have you all gone, was it something I said?????

MancMum · 02/01/2004 10:40

Well it looks like I am the bloater of the gruop - 12 whole stone but I am 7' tall!! (I wish..)

I am going for the detox diet for a month and lots of exercise.. although we had no fruit in for breakfast so had weetabix with milk and sugar - all banned so not a great start - must try harder.. off to shops at lunch time for some proper food and insipiration

nearlymybeetrootday - thanks for that - I will be asking - I have only ever done the Carol Vorderman detox about 2 years ago which I have to say worked really well - loads of energy clear skin etc but no weightloss at all! Quite possible that i ate too many brazil nuts (without chocolate)! Have you lost weight detoxing - I don't want to go on a diet where I have to count points or cook separate meals - I thought basic detox principles for me and the family - loads of fruit and veg - they have meat, wheat etc and I have brown rice, beans etc - no way my boys would accept tofu into their lives if it meant losing chicken nuggets (plus they don't need to lose weight grr!)

Also, do you eat fish - want to keep the omega 3s and EFAs up as am still b/feeding

thanks

C'mon Clairabelle, how can we encourage you if we don't know how much you're losing?!
Don't be shy!

WideWebWitch · 02/01/2004 11:33

Well, I'll join you but I'm afraid I don't own any scales so I can't give my weight. What a shame hey? But I'd bet it's over 10 stone and I'm only 5"3. Eeek. My strategies are to walk the school run every day, stop eating butter (since I slather it on) and cheese and lay off the wine in the week. 9 months of abstinence plus it being Christmas and all mean I have suddenly been drinking again and that, plus eating all the blue cheese I want so hasn't been a good combination. But I'm not starting til Monday since we have chocolate that needs finishing!

adell · 02/01/2004 11:39

OK, a stone might just deal with my boobs!

Clairabelle, I'm going to be at this a lot longer than March 22nd, will join you here after that when this thin lot have finished !

salt · 02/01/2004 11:40

HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD?!?!?!

I'm in - I'm 10.10 currently I need to be at least 9.5

I started today so am on the right tracks...

clairabelle · 02/01/2004 11:45

Hee Hee adell one stone one boob for me! Will reveal all when all lost around 2006

adell · 02/01/2004 11:54

2006 it is then !

salt · 02/01/2004 12:00

How often do we have to 'publish' our weight?

Beccarollover · 02/01/2004 12:13

Every friday morning I would say

sarahu · 02/01/2004 12:16

clairabelle and adell I'm with you on this one! not going to publish now but will post when i've lost some! and don't feel like such an elephant in comparison to everyone else

tiredemma · 02/01/2004 12:20

i think i will join if you dont mind....im a bridesmaid on april 10th and im having nightmares that my dress will be too tight.
im only 5'0" and was always a size 6/8 and never over 7stone 8lbs now im touching a size 12 and 8 stone 11 lbs. everyone says thats ok but its not if your small cuz i look like tweedledee.
im well up for it so count me in, ill post my weight every bloody day as long as its going down.

melsy · 02/01/2004 13:05

Thought this would be interesting if unsure which diet to follow. Choose from 300+ different ones on here .

Ailsa · 02/01/2004 13:33

Count me in, I'll go for a stone, 5ft6½ins, currently 13st, going to get my WW books out of the attic. I'm quite dissappointed as I only put 2st on while pregnant with DD2 and I've only lost 1st since having her on 2nd Sept. DD was half of that weight loss.

dejags · 02/01/2004 13:34

Ok so ds is 31 months (can I still join in?) - I lost the weight I had with him pretty rapidly but still need to lose another 16lbs to take me to 9st on the dot.

I am doing it through Weightlossresources - found this site fab after DS was born and lost weight really quickly - averaging about 2lb a week.

I eat so much rubbish - far too many chocolates, crisps and pastries...

Hulababy · 02/01/2004 13:36

Wow what a choice there Melsy - not sure on some of the title though. Think I will just stik with the WW points - I think I know half of the values off by heart now anyway.

melsy · 02/01/2004 13:41

ww points seem to be the easiest. I might try Slimmerworld when I get bored, but it seems more difficult.
