I'm in the ranks of the mildly disapproving, but I had my moment of temptation long ago...

I was at a swimming pool with a "beach" area and various model animals with DS1, then 18 months old. He was having a lovely time with a crocodile. I was standing around idly wondering whether this might be giving him an inappropriate water safety message, when a man with a camera came up to me. He asked me whether he could take a picture of my son for the Yellow Pages.

I agreed, but DS1 proceeded to spend the next twenty minutes with his fingers up the crocodile's nostrils, so the photographer found someone else.

its the adults dejags who are beasts- not the kids ( although some kids- while not "ugly" are not as photogenic as others)
