Apologies if this has been done before.
I can't actually remember how I found it, but I must have signed up at some point, as I got one of the weekly emails, and there was a thread about things you didn't know before you had children which had me pmsl, so I started to join in more with the discussions.
That thread was hilarious, but I can't find it anywhere!
So how did everyone come to be here? Just curious! Wink

I googled Gymboree, and a mumsnet thread came up. So I signed up and launched myself at the thread, it was about 2 years ago now.

Saw the info at the end of "Mum's the Word" - had a look but the read "The Fish Finger Years" and was reminded of Mumsnet.

The rest is history!

DH found it accidently when we were expecting dd about year and half ago. Been a regular since. DH also finds it a great help for us when we have concerns over dd and he evens loves listening to me tell him about to the Mumsnet goings on of the day over a glass or 2 of wine Wink.

He still thinks fellow mners are either all lesbians are hairy handed truck drivers lol!!! Men eh!!!

Only found it yesterday whilst googling. Posted straight away as I needed some advice, 3 v.nice people replied. Spent quite some time today looking around at different subjects which have both helped on a practical level & put my mind at rest. I think its fabulous & as so many others on this thread have already said, I am definitely hooked.

googling for how to deal with colic. Didn't really know about internet forums, was impressed with how well everyone seemed to know each other.
I did wonder why everyone had named their babies with names beginning with d though!
