There ! I've done it .... I have formed a Gang !( something I have always wanted to do since childhood ).
It's based on another thread that harman started "I feel revolting!" ( COuld have written the post myself )

Can all those like minded sorts support one another and see what miracles we can acheive by Christmas ?? ... PLEASE as I really need the motivation ....

Thanks

I am just doing it on weekdays and doing nothing on a weekend. I know it defeats the object but I still lost a pound Thats 27 1/2 lb now in total - but that is weighwatchers!

santafio2 · 17/12/2003 10:55

melsy I know exactly what you mean about the food associations. When I joined weightwatchers I didnt feel fat and now 2 stone lighter and back into a getting loose size 14 (I am 5ft 8in btw) I still feel fat, but am no longer overweight. I have never felt fat before, why now - why do I feel guilty if I eat something I shouldnt?

Brandysnap · 17/12/2003 19:27

Well I weighed myself this morning and apparently I have lost 3lb. Not quite sure how though, the week started off well and then comfort eating took over. I must try harder, probably not until after Christmas though.

melsy · 21/12/2003 21:59

Brandy snap - I also weighed in this morning. I have also lost 3lb's . I thought my 3lb loss was pretty good this last week. R u saying thats not ????? I didnt think it was healthy to loose anymore in one week.

melsy · 22/12/2003 20:37

So have u all fallen off the wagon or wot???????????????? - GREAT.

Brandysnap · 22/12/2003 21:26

I have sort of fallen off the wagon. I didn't mean that I didn't think that 3lbs wasn't good, just think it is more likely to be a problem with my scales rather than me actually losing weight.

You've done really well if you've lost 3lbs this past week.

I got some new clothes today and they look pretty good, so I feel quite chuffed anyway.

CRYSTmassurvivALTIPS · 22/12/2003 21:30

Fallen off the wagon and being dragged behind by the boot-straps !!!

La! La! La! >

It's all going to be so different in the new year

melsy · 24/12/2003 23:17

melsy · 26/12/2003 22:16

suzywong · 26/12/2003 22:22

I'm parched, melsy, shall we open a bar and try and entice the others in?

Clairabelle · 26/12/2003 22:23

No Melsy I'm here waiting to 11.00 again. What diet are you doing ds 6 weeks today so need to get going.

Chinchilla · 26/12/2003 22:23

I was 'good' yesterday, and made sure that I did not have more than 2000 calories (a non-dieter's calorie intake). However, today (at the in-laws' ), I had loads of fatty foods. I loved every mouthful, but now feel a bit sick. I didn't eat anywhere near as much as I would have done prior to dieting, and I am going straight back on it tomorrow.

Anyone who has pigged out for these two days can do the same, and will not do too much damage. The real damage occurs when a dieter carries on eating, because they think that they have already cocked up, so they may as well continue. The way to look at it is that a diet is a long-term 'campaign'. You may lose the battle, but can still win the war. If I reach target, and maintain it for life, there are always going to be days when I pig out, as I am essentially a greedy person. However, if I undo the damage the rest of the week, there is no reason why I cannot stay the same weight.

melsy · 26/12/2003 22:25

Hi suzy wong pour me a bayleys on ice yum - used to be fav around xmas but had none cosof diet!!!!

Clairbelle I am on weightwatchers , dd 14weeks old started 3 weeks ago, but lost a stone b4 that because of PND , as lost appetite.

melsy · 26/12/2003 22:47

Clairabelle - I woul.d give yourself another few weeks yet. Youll be surprised how much just drops off in the next few weeks.

melsy · 27/12/2003 13:24

Crunchie · 27/12/2003 18:53

I'm here and jsut checking you all out! I decided I was going to 'allow' myself to gainup to 5lbs (the national average weight gain!) Well I pigged out on Christmas day so I felt quite sick, and spent boxing day only eating fruit, veg and fat free soup. On the scales this morning and it looks like I have lost the 2lbs I gained before christmas!!!

melsy · 27/12/2003 19:03

wot is that,an expected 5lbs over Xmas ??? or generally???

Well done on the 2lb's

Lisa78 · 27/12/2003 19:21

DS2 is nearly 2 months old and I am about a stone overweight still (gained 3.5 whilst pg) with big flabby belly! Ugh! As a petite 5ft 2 and generally 8 - 8st 5, I feel enormous. With DS1, I was back to 8 stone and in my jeans after 3 weeks, though admittedly that was 14 years ago! Will everything go back to normal by itself or do I have to do the D word? And my tummy button is a yucky brown colour - whats that all about?
